Shook!
I feel like I learned so much about myself. Wow!!! The comparison with alcoholism and women who love toooo much really shook me. I never thought a book could instill so much knowledge and action!! The beginning of the book dove right into sad and intense stories of woman who love too much and I had to pause it for a couple of days to mentally prepare myself. After going through the entire book I understand why it started like that. I sit here contemplating my courage and how I will use this book to take action in my life. If you read this book you will not stay the same.

Great book
I liked th stories and the explanations that were used to portray complex family issues and subsequent mate selections. And of course the problems caused by lack of self-esteem and self-understanding.

I would recommend this book
For me the value of this book was contained more in the last one third. The detailed stories and vignettes were interesting but did not find any value in them. I was however felt helped by the last part of the book where she spoke of specific things you could do to help yourself

Amazing book and excellent narrator!
This book put into perspective so many things I have been dealing with in my life! I feel so enlightened and I believe I can meet these downfalls head on and hopefully overcome the obstacles I face. I believe every woman should at least read the first couple of chapters of this book just to see if this describes them in any way... I didn't realize just HOW MUCH I love too much!

Best Book ever written for Women like me!!!
This book portrayed my life to a T. I couldn't believe it. It was like listening to my own life story and finally coming to an understanding why I endured and did what I did to make my relationship work.
