Covenant or contract is an important theme in the Bible. God made covenants with His people. He deals with them according to the covenants He made with them. Today we are under God’s New Covenant. For all God’s dealings with us in addition to our dealings with God will be governed by this New Covenant. We are therefore called to have New Covenant Living as well as New Covenant Ministry. It is hence extremely essential for us to be sure that our living and ministry are of the New Covenant way.

Why do the righteous suffer? This is an age-long dilemma. The human soul agitates over it. Man's wisdom endeavors to solve it. But God alone has the right answer. In the book of Job, God reveals the hidden purpose behind the suffering of the righteous. For suffering is unto sonship. Through suffering we grow into such a living knowledge of God that delivers us from self and fills us with Christ.
