The Magician's Nephew is the sixth of the seven-book The Chronicles of Narnia series. This entry into the allegorical series tells the story of the creation of the world of Narnia by the lion Aslan. The events in the story take place 1000 years before The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis is a fantasy novel for children, first published in 1950. It is the best known of the seven novels that comprise The Chronicles of Narnia (1950-1956). Most of the story is set in Narnia, a land of talking animals and mythical creatures ruled by the wicked White Witch. The narrative starts with four English siblings being relocated to a large country house following a wartime evacuation. They visit Narnia through a wardrobe and become involved in its affairs and its history.

This is a narrative poem written by C.S. Lewis, begun in his teen years and published when he was a tutor at Oxford. It appeared in print under the pseudonym of "Clive Hamilton," which is the author's own first name and his mother's maiden name.The story begins in "The Perfect City," a place instantly recognizable to a modern audience as a classic dystopia. The last days of Narnia, and all hope seems lost as lies and treachery interweave to threaten the destruction of everything. As the battle lines are drawn, old friends are summoned back to Narnia, though none can predict the outcome in this magnificent ending to the famous series.

Willie's life is altered by war; his life is falling into a spiral. He can’t walk and is bound by a wheelchair rendering him helpless. On top of that his sexual life has taken a dive. Along with being unable to walk he can’t get an erection. And the once happy life he and his wife had built together starts falling apart. With this last nail, his wife of several years can no longer take it. Leaving Willie to fend for himself all alone in a house that can’t sustain his new condition.

For C. S. Lewis, reason and logic are the sensible way to approach faith and ethics. Much of the 20th century's ills are caused by ill-founded beliefs and opinions. Lewis' original approach remains as vital today as ever. He is able to take the most convoluted subject, turn it side on and shed bright illumination on it. To be able to see along things rather than at them - just like a beam of sunlight that invades the darkness of a toolshed - is, to Lewis, the way to understanding.

Clive Staples Lewis (1898-1963) was one of the greatest intellectuals of the 20th century and a highly influential writer of his day. The Screwtape Letters is a classic of religious satire. Humorous and witty, the text consists of the letters of a senior demon to a younger one, coaching him on how to capture the soul of a Christian. With a narrative simultaneously comic and serious, the book is an insightful account of temptation and how to resist it.
