Instead, they’re told their only options are stocks, bonds, and mutual funds—products that benefit financial institutions far more than individual investors. Story
What happens when you stop asking for permission to think? Why the Elites Hate the Self-Educated is a bold, unflinching critique of how institutions—academic, corporate, and governmental—systematically exclude, marginalize, and suppress those who learn outside sanctioned systems. With surgical precision and a dry, cutting tone, this book exposes the soft weaponry of conformity: credentials masquerading as competence, bureaucracy dressed up as rigor, and “culture fit” as an excuse for gatekeeping. Drawing on history, sociology, and institutional psychology, the book maps the ...

Thinking in the Top 10% dismantles the illusion that being “smart” is about knowing more, working faster, or projecting confidence. Instead, it reveals the quiet mental mechanics that allow top performers to act with clarity, restraint, and strategic timing—while others react on impulse. This book is not a motivational pep talk. This book isn’t a self-help manual. It’s a mirror—sharpened into a blade. Being Social Is Making You Dumber is a ruthless dissection of the smiling, nodding, performative version of modern life. Rooted in the cold precision of Machiavellian philosophy, it doesn’t plead for your attention. It challenges your need for it. You’ve been taught that being liked is a virtue. That fitting in is maturity. That playing well with others is wisdom. It’s not. It’s erosion. Every handshake you fake, every opinion you echo, every party you endure in silence builds the invisible prison you ...

Alice Scott is an eternal optimist still dreaming of her big writing break. Hayden Anderson is a Pulitzer-prize winning human thundercloud. And they’re both on balmy Little Crescent Island for the same reason: To write the biography of a woman no one has seen in years—or at least to meet with the octogenarian who claims to be the Margaret Ives. Tragic heiress, former tabloid princess, and daughter of one of the most storied (and scandalous) families of the 20th Century.
