The third book of the Prepper Saga finds our stalwart survivors suffering yet again even more calamities. Their mission in life now is to get to Florida and live out their days playing apocalyptic beach bums, or getting to Yoshi’s great aunts farm located more inland. Emergency broadcast messages on the radio of early winter approaching a mini ice age is cause for concerns and they begin second guessing their decision to bug out.

Far from home without a gun to defend himself with, Bob must find a way to get food and protect his possessions from would-be thieves in this post-apocalyptic world. Luckily, he has his fishing gear with him along with an inflatable kayak he brought on the airplane with him for recreation. Now his luggage has become his bug-out gear. Others want what he has, and he tries to flee the area to avoid them. Youth gangs take over the area where he resides.

The post-apocalyptic survival adventure begins anew as Hobe sails for Florida in search of new opportunities after leaving the Trade Rendezvous. He has a plan that has not been revealed to his sailboats crew yet to hopefully put them into some new profitable adventures. Everything seems to be going well despite the hurricane that blew them off course and sent them towards an oyster fishing village in a far bay until pirates were spotted on the horizon. Follow our stalwart heroes as they brave the high seas five years after a Solar Storm has taken the electrical grid and economy down.

Electrical transformers will burn and a smoke filled night will fall with ominous portents when the next mega solar geomagnetic storm hits. Uncontrolled fires will dance and light up the horizon nationwide as crimson and green auroras fill the skies with dread. Hogan predicts that Atlanta will burn again someday. The hero of the story, a business continuity planner has tried to prepare as best he can to escape the city and avoid the nightmare inferno and societal collapse he predicts, but will his preparations be enough? He and his friend Annie cannot escape by highway because of the horrible snarls of traffic jams and the mayhem of panicked people fleeing the encroaching flames. Perhaps the fires will not be as bad as Hogan thinks. Perhaps what fires that are burning and smoldering can be controlled if the city can keep the emergency diesel generators pumping water for the brave firemen still on duty.
