Bette Poole, once the biggest child star in the world, is struggling at 25. She's got the talent for adult roles but none of the drive. She can't function without cocaine, booze, and opiates, and it's affecting her performance on set. Jerry, her agent, makes one last attempt to help her by getting her on a reality TV show. We all know we could be walking to our deaths. We know Misty could already be dead.

Of all the things to end up in jail for, embezzling wasn’t what I thought would bring me down. I’ve got a pretty healthy arson and murder hobby on my downtime. White collar crimes never go to Scorchwood. I should have been given a fee and probation at most. Something is going on. My cell mate Skoll is an alpha wolf in for manslaughter. He wants me to meet Roman, a vampire, and Amduscias, a demon who is really shifty about what his demonic form is.

I know why no one said anything when Zeus came to the underworld. I know there’s a plan to get Hephaestus back. There’s also a lot I don’t know that I need to learn fast. I have this mysterious demonic form from my father that I need to learn to access. Hephaestus made all these weapons capable of taking down Olympians if they came, but I don’t know how to use them. I’m not going to get lucky again like I did with Demeter. I have to learn all this, and if I don't, I’ll be grounded in my room when everyone tries to rescue my God.

Hell is so not like what they tell you about when they are trying to scare you. It’s actually kind of nice when you aren’t there to take on an insane prince of Hell. I’ve got allies. I’ve managed to get most of the supernatural groups working together. Lilith and I open a hellmouth to an area of Hell called the Sacred Forest, and I lose all ability to even react when I see who all lives there.

And then daddy dearest enters stage left. So, I met my father. I beat the crap out of him, but I haven’t killed him yet. Yet being the operative word. I still haven’t made up my mind about that. I had my to-do list before I broke out of Scorchwood and killing him was a major part of my big kill list. I mean, the man framed me, sent me to prison in Hell, then had a mad warlock experiment on me. So, now we are uneasy allies. The fate of two realms is resting on my shoulders. That doesn’t mean I might not still decide to kill him if we manage to pull this off.

I’ve made allies in prison. I know the truth about my fire dragon Fergus. All of us have been wronged in whatever this plot was that they’ve framed me for. I haven’t forgiven Rathmore for what he did to Roman. My kill list is growing, but luckily, I’ve made friends with a few psychos in prison. I’ve got a wolf, a demon, a vampire, and Fergus perfectly happy to help me complete my list and kill anyone who gets in my way.

Jeb thinks his farm is safe, way out where he lives, at least for the next year or so while he comes up with a plan to drive the invading lesbians out when they do show up. Jeb was not expecting the lesbians to arrive on 15-foot-high Clydesdales with demonic red eyes and a cow named Anne Boleyn. Will the lesbians run Jeb out of business and steal his wife, who sometimes has opinions he fears? What do these lesbians want?
