Das "Manifest der Kommunistischen Partei" ist die wohl bekannteste Schrift von Karl Marx und Friedrich Engels. Wie wohl kaum ein anderes Dokument seiner Zeit lässt das "Manifest" die politisch aufgeladene Stimmung nachempfinden, die damals um 1848 herum während des zu Ende gehenden Vormärz in Europa kurz vor Ausbruch der Februarrevolution in Paris geherrscht hat.
