Alyosha the Pot is a short story written by Leo Tolstoy (1905) about the life and death of a simple, uncomplaining worker. It was published after Tolstoy's death in 1911 and received high praise from Tolstoy's contemporaries. Without ever calling Alyosha a holy fool, Tolstoy centers the story on his meekness, aloofness, and foolishness. Alyosha's simple life, soft-spoken manner, and calm acceptance of death epitomizes Tolstoyan principles.

Эта книга была придумана 1 ноября 1995 года, в тот самый день, когда автор Лабиринтов Ехо создал новый документ в текстовом редакторе и написал: "Никогда не знаешь, где тебе повезет" – фразу, с которой начинается длинная сага о приключениях сэра Макса. Ну, то есть на самом деле не "придумана", а просто возникла перед внутренним взором автора - вся, целиком. А потом снова исчезла практически без следа, как это часто случается с внезапными озарениями. Но время от времени автору удавалось что-то вспомнить и записать.

Повесть Льва Толстого "Кавказский пленник" впервые была опубликована в 1872 году в журнале "Заря". Завязка сюжета частично основана на реальных событиях, произошедших с Толстым во время его службы на Кавказе.

It takes place on the Ranevsky family's country estate, which boasts a large cherry orchard that is in bloom as the play opens. The family is gathering at the estate for a reunion but also to decide how to handle their debts, which have reached a crisis point.

Lisa's Story is about a young woman contemplating her death due to a terminal illness. She is able to make peace with herself and come to grips with her eventual demise, however, how does she alleviate the pain and suffering this will cause her homosexual partner?
