    Infertility sucks. I got rid of the fibroids when I had my hysterectomy, I still have the endometriosis on my rectal wall, the silent struggle we face with an illness no one talks about or knows where it comes from.

    It's really hard sometimes to love our bodies when they've let us down. God isn't punishing you ok, let's clear that up right now. Hurt happens, we live in a sinful world. But when we give God our hurt, He makes ALL things new, He brings beauty from our mess and our hurt. Yes, women were created with the beautiful ability to bear children, but that wasn't the purpose God created us for. Our sole purpose in life is to love others to Jesus. Forgive yourself, forgive your body, move her and celebrate all she DOES do for you.

    I never had children of my own, but my husband and I just adopted the most beautiful and precious baby girl that I may not have had if I'd had my own and I would never want to think of my life without her, I can't remember my life before her. You are not a mistake. You are a chosen, loved and beautiful child of the Most High God, never forget that.

  • Does God Care if I'm Overweight? What the Bible Says

    Let me be VERY clear here, Jesus loves you just as you are. God created you intentionally before He said "Let there be light" He knew you and loves you. What He convicted me on all those years ago however is that when I put food ahead of Him and rely on it for comfort, I've placed an idol in my life and He hates that. When we are overweight, we may have unhealed trauma, we have a medical condition, we may just make excuses and not fuel ourselves properly. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Romans 12:1, 1 Corinthians 10:31, the list goes on about God's thoughts about our body and it is up to us to pray for discernment then walk out Holy Spirit obedience, regardless of how we feel. From my own personal journey, to over eight years of working with women in their personal weight loss journey, the majority of women I meet struggle to believe they can actually lose the weight.     The struggle to exercise at 250 pounds when I couldn't complete that first workout after a decade of competitive dance and always being a small person was a hard pill to swallow and didn't do much for my self talk. If you're struggling to start your workout, here's how to get started!

    -Drink your pre-workout, put on some Jesus jams and ask God to give you strength and perseverance to get started and to finish! Give me what I need Lord!

    -Just start! I say push play because I have an incredible workout library at my disposal so push play and just start! You need 5 minutes to legit Fake it till ya make it! At that 5 minute mark, the dopamine hit will kick in and you'll just keep going before you even realize it!

    When we see exercise as a celebration of what our body can do and a way to honor God who lives IN us it becomes about honoring Him and glorifying Him with our movement! You've got this sis, now let's go!

  • Your Fit-Tracker- Help or Hinder? Why Your Smart Watch May be Preventing Your Weight Loss

    I've felt convicted to share this for a while, I struggle with this daily. Using my stupid watch to measure my progress, when it legit has zero to do with who I actually am as a person. Same goes for you sis.

    Ask yourself if you're basing your calorie intake on what your watch says you've burned, because if you are, you're doing yourself a disservice and you will not lose weight that way. I eat 2200-2400 calories a day and when my watch says I've burned 2000 or 1600 on rest days it can easily distract me from what God has called me to, which is to stop giving food so much power in my life.

    Do you need to do the same? Do you need to fast from your fit tracker? Or your scale? Why do the numbers matter anyway? They're simply a tool, not a determiner of your worth or progress.

    Lay it down, you don't need it. Set a boundary with yourself or pray for strength to seek what God says instead of your watch.

  • Self-Discipline- What God's Word Says

    Do you know what the bible says about discipline? Quite a lot actually. Hebrews 12:11 is my fav, "No discipline is pleasant at the time but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who are trained by it."

    We read in Galatians about the fruits of the spirit, self-discipline being one of them. What does that mean? That means that if Jesus Christ is your personal Savior, you have ALL the fruits mentioned. Self-control/discipline is one of them. We have to operate on God's power to implement this change, it's hard, messy and not always fun, but sister, I'm tellin ya, that righteousness and peace that comes with it feels so good, even when the hard days come, and trust me, they will.

    Nothing good in life comes easy, but when we operate on resurrection power, we change, not because of our power, but God's power within us!

  • Want to Have Your Cake & Eat it Too? How Macros Allow You to Eat the Food You LOVE!!

    I fought God for a long time after He called me to follow a macro-based plan, it took over a year and it wasn't until I was so sore and frustrated that I began to listen. The first month I was beyond frustrated, I gained 8 pounds and went to Him angry in my prayer time. He reminded me to trust Him, so I kept going and within 3 months found myself 25 pounds down. Here's why Macros are the bomb.com and how you can use them to eat the foods you love!

    Weight loss is a basic formula, calories in vs out but also takes in a couple other factors, which we work through in the Framework. Most of the students I work with are vastly under-fueled and I imagine you are too, with the right foods anyway.

    Macros are broken down into three parts, protein, fat and carbs. They all work together to help you lose weight, give you energy, help you tone and ensure your organs are all functioning properly.

    I recommend planning your day the night before or after breakfast, it'll take a bit to get used to but eventually it should only take you 5-7 minutes a day. If you want weight loss, make time.

    I use my fitness pal, the free account, I do not adhere to their formula, it is completely off and we do not count our workouts in or follow the other numbers listed, only the three mentioned above.

    Macros are an incredible way to learn what your body needs to function. Eventually if you can eat intuitively, great. But for most women who are underfed their body has adjusted to too few calories, although it doesn't like it so starting with macros to make sure you're getting enough fuel will help you learn the intuitive method down the road.

  • 4 Hacks to Build a Quick Workout in Your Morning Routine

    First off you have to make a choice to give up your excuses, which isn't always easy. It's a daily choice to move when you don't want to. Hoping these 4 tips will help you build a quick workout in your morning routine!

    1. Get up 15-20 minutes early 1-2 days a week to start and have your workout clothes and shoes ready to go!

    2. Do a miracle morning. Every morning, I pray first, read the bible, journal 3 things I'm grateful for with a prayer, drink lots of coffee and ask God what I need for my morning. Ask and it shall be given to you, seek and you shall find.

    3. Find a workout you actually enjoy! It should challenge you but if you hate every exercise you've gotta ask God to heal that part of your brain. We were made to move, so move!

    4. Drink your preworkout and just start! It's going to take 5 minutes to get going, that's normal. If you haven't worked out in awhile, your body will be shocked. Keep going! Your feelings aren't important here, doing what God calls you to, is. So pray, listen and obey!

  • I've Lost Over 90 Pounds with These 5 Steps

    The struggle is real, I feel you sister. You are not alone. These 5 steps have helped me lose the weight and have become part of my morning routine that I crave. I hope they encourage you:

    1. Eat more food! I hear from clients all the time how they just want to eat whatever they can and lose weight. Well, guess what?! You can! It's the only way to lose weight sustainably.

    2. Drink 1/2 your weight in ounces of water daily. Listen you're carrying around water weight that won't go away unless you replace it with good water. If you want to lose weight, you must drink yo wata!

    3. Start each day with prayer- if you want God to answer your prayers then you best start giving Him your first fruits, not your lukewarm leftovers as an afterthought each night. He deserves your best and giving it to Him will help Him move you to your goals.

    4. Find a verse to keep you inspired! I love Galatians 6:9-what's yours?

    5. MOVE BABY MOVE! If you want to lose weight, pairing movement with proper nutrition is key! You'll tone as you lose and create that lean look you're going for. When we have muscle in our body, we fight infection, have strong joints for doing God's work. The call of life is to live the Great Commission and it'll be hard to live fully as He wants you to when you're carrying the weight of poor choices and habits.
