About this listen

In the highly anticipated sequel to The Wolf King, this sizzling romantasy—perfect for fans of enemies to lovers, shifters, forbidden romance, villains you love to hate (or maybe just love!), and werewolves—Aurora is caught between powerful alphas as they fight for the Wolf Throne, all while darker forces begin to rise…

“Let me have you. Just once. Please.”

Aurora may have survived the Wolf King, but his bite marks her skin. In accordance with wolf law, that makes her his property. Now, he wants her back.

To beat him and take his throne, Aurora and Callum must form a dangerous alliance with one of the most feared Wolves in the Kingdom, Blake. He is their enemy, but he has entangled his life with Aurora’s—meaning she cannot harm him without forfeiting her own life.

As she fights to break their connection, she suspects Blake is keeping secrets about a dark power that rises in the north, and the unsettling nature of the bond between them. It seems there is a bigger game at play than who sits on the Wolf Throne—one that threatens both the Kingdom of Wolves, and the Kingdom of Men.

With her wolf awakening, enemies closing in, relationships tested, and secrets revealed—Aurora may be the only one who can stop an ancient evil from rising.

If she can figure out who to trust.

If she can figure out where she, and her heart, belong.

If she can stay alive.

The voice narrators are so spot on it truly is a masterpiece of a performance and the voices match the all the characters perfectly. Honestly the main reason I could finish this book was all because of the voice narrators other wise the story is just ok in my opinion. The author has a problem of making the story over complicated, leaving out details on purpose to keep you guessing of what is going on and then throwing all the answers at you at the end. The problem is one I still could easily guess most of the story back in book one and second the details left out are simple one that are needed for the world building and just not mysterious in a good way. The story is also so chaotic at times about what is going on and then characters to me are not given enough characters development or world building development that it just feels even repative at times then fractured and rushed scene at times. The flow was off. Besides these pitfalls in the writing and plot I still enjoyed the story enough to want to read book 3 and the conclusion of the story. I still feel the audio book especially is worth the listen and the book is still better than some other famous Romantacy books out there that I feel should not be as hyped.

Worth a listen just for the performance but the story is OK.

Fantastic narration to a great story. Glad they added another male narrator for Blake this time.
Loved it every time he said, "Good Girl". 🔥
Aurora is busy most of the book trying to figure out the side effects of her wolf half waiting to rise to the surface. She is suffering from constant fevers, wolfish instincts and dreams that pull her tighter to Blake and cause rifts between her and Callum.
She is sick of being a pawn, and is desperate to keep her independence and agency - which at times has her make idiotic decisions that cause more problems for everyone else, and puts her in MORE danger.
And the two alpha's who are protecting her are fighting constantly and keeping secrets. Seriously, why can no one just explain anything?
Aurora is fighting with everything she has to be able to make her own choices and be her own person in a world where everyone is trying to claim her, own her, and keep her "safe".
The ending ramps everything up to 10, and I am hoping we get news of book 3 soon!

Great follow up
