About this listen
Charlie McGinley writes about tough guys…then he has to become one.
Fed up with writing cheesy detective fiction, Charlie dreams of writing something serious. Unfortunately, his publisher insists that he keep cranking out hard-boiled Johnny Dent PI novels.
When Charlie stumbles across an urban legend about Thomas Edison inventing a machine that could speak to the dead, he thinks he’s found the perfect gimmick to spice up his next book.
That is, until he builds the "Ghost Machine" and accidentally uses it...
And people in his small New Mexico town start dying.
Suddenly, Charlie must become the hero he’s spent his career writing about: tough, quick-witted and fearless. The only problem? He’s none of those things.
If you’re looking for razor-sharp humor blended with edge-of-your-seat suspense, you’ll love Not Dead Again—the fourth book in the Charlie McGinley Mystery series.
Pick it up today.

Story
Hazel and Fox are an ordinary married couple with a baby. Except for one small thing: they're murderers. Well, they used to be. They had it all. An enviable London lifestyle, five-star travels, and plenty of bad men to rid from the world. Then Hazel got pregnant. Now, they’re just another mom-and-dad-and-baby. They gave up vigilante justice for life in the suburbs: arranged play dates instead of body disposals, diapers over daggers, mommy conversations instead of the sweet seduction right before a kill. And Hazel finds her new life terribly dull.

EXASPERATION AND STUPIDITY
The whole plot centered on i the hero's inability to act in any rational way, not a thing on what he knew or the advice of others. He and the others were saved at the last second by the gods AND THE WHOLE SURROUNDING COUNTRY LET ALL THE MURDERS SLIDE!
