Even the smartest among us can feel inept as we fail to figure out which light switch or oven burner to turn on, or whether to push, pull, or slide a door. The fault, argues this ingenious - even liberating - audiobook, lies not in ourselves, but in product design that ignores the needs of users and the principles of cognitive psychology. The Design of Everyday Things shows that good, usable design is possible. The rules are simple: make things visible, exploit natural relationships that couple function and control, and make intelligent use of constraints.

Story
Study after study finds there is one trait that sets the most successful people apart from the rest of us. That one trait isn’t wearing the same shirt everyday or some secret workout formula. The one trait that successful people have is that they know how to form good habits that stick. If you have ever struggled to keep a New Year’s resolution or if you have a hard time meeting your goals, you need this book. This book will teach you how to form good habits, how to make them stick, and what habits you should be forming. The power of habit stacking is that by slowly introducing small habits into your life you start to build synergies. You will begin to be getting more out of each habit every time you stack another, small good habit on top of it. It will seem like magic, but habit stacking is based on science.

Not a waste of time, but close.
The content was only a little more informative than common sense. Anyone with a month or more behind a desk should already figure out most or all the info covered by this author.
I listened to the audible version. The reader is clear and articulate, however, it is obvious English is his 2nd language. Not a big deal but it is a little distracting to the flow.
