About this listen

It's a good thing that Eric finally managed to evolve his class. If he's going to have any hope of rescuing his sister, he'll need every advantage he can get!

The Sylvan Alliance's territories have been seized. Her champions slaughtered. A once thriving faction has been reduced to a single battered fortress.

If Eric can’t pull off a miracle and succeed where an entire regiment of skilled archers have fallen, then both his sister and all those who march under her banner will be obliterated by the muskets and cannons of their enemies.

It's time for Eric to show what one man with a few dozen oversized warthogs and an extradimensional storage space can do against an army of bloodthirsty orcs who actually think they've already won.

Join Eric on a wild ride of non-stop action and deadly peril as he shows the entire world what happens to a Necromancer’s enemies when they dare to threaten the people he loves!

The book is good but…

The narrator is possibly one of the worst. Most of the time he sounds like he is drunk and the rest he sounds like an over enthusiastic sports announcer. I don’t need a whole book yelled at me.

A mess

So much for the build up with the mother situation. That really went no where. That whole situation just turned out to be a drag rather than being interesting. Many repeating scenarios even in the same book. First our MC had red hair then suddenly he had blonde hair. Supposedly he couldn't get any more benefits from less than a bronze rank fruit though that turned out to be a lie. Who just hangs out with their sister when their woman and child is being held hostage??? What a lame ending. So much for dominion and will power just to kneel before mommy. With people completely healing every night how is anyone suffering addictions. The whole thing just seems to be poorly thought out. Every time I think it's going in a good direction I'm proven wrong so I think I'm done here.

Cringe 😬

The only thing worse than the incredibly superficial and adolescent relationship the MC has with Rita it the one he has with his sister. Literally had to skip chapters of their dialogue it was so annoying. And the narrator is just not for me. I’ve listened to him in other books too and he basically has two or three voices; two of which are grating. Always wonder how a story would come off if the author could get Travis Baldree. Will probably stop the series here

Going down hill

Books one and two were decent but Im half way through the third and rather than story development and progression it has been 90% mediocre imagery and angry internal monologue. I know this genre isn’t known for its fantastic or Inspiring writing, but this is exactly the kind of writing that gives the rest a bad name.
