Story
Tantra Illuminated takes the listener on a fascinating journey to the very heart of original Tantra: its key teachings, foundational lineages, and transformative practices. Since the West's discovery of Tantra 100 years ago, there has been considerable fascination, speculation, and more than a little misinformation about this spiritual movement. Now, for the first time in the English language, Tantra Illuminated presents an accessible introduction to this sacred tradition that began 1,500 years ago in the far north of India.

Each of us has a dual nature: we are light (conscious) and dark (unconscious). The dark side of our personality - the “other,” the shadow side - is made up of what we think is our primitive, primal, negative impulses - our “existential kink.” Our existential kink also drives the dark or negative repeating patterns in our life: always choosing the abusive partner or boss, settling for less, thinking that we’re undeserving, not worthy. But it also is the source of our greatest power.

But what if there were a way to experience the simplest pleasures of our lives on a deeper level, freeing the body and psyche from these damaging patterns?

In Hold Me Tight, Dr. Sue Johnson presents Emotionally Focused Therapy to the general public for the first time. Johnson teaches that the way to save and enrich a relationship is to reestablish safe emotional connection and preserve the attachment bond.

Shetty grew up in a family where you could become one of three things—a doctor, a lawyer, or a failure. His family was convinced he had chosen option three: Instead of attending his college graduation ceremony, he headed to India to become a monk, to meditate every day for four to eight hours, and devote his life to helping others. After three years, one of his teachers told him that he would have more impact on the world if he left the monk’s path to share his experience and wisdom with others.

"The book Tantric Dating offers much-needed clarity and insight into the world of sacred sexuality and the much-bantered term "tantra". New Views on the Dating World
Tantric Dating by Catherine Auman is a new perspective on the dating world, and how we view other people. I did not know very much about Tantra and this book gives a clear understanding of the Tantric outlook. I especially like the examples of some of the exercises she gave her students. Such as going to a coffee shop, and instead of looking for someone who is good looking, instead look for someone who looks kind, or looks responsible. If you are single, this book will give you fresh ideas of how to view prospective dating partners.

Tantric dating is what my life has become!
I really enjoyed listening to this book; I got it as an audio book. I am a psychic medium and so many things have changed in my life, including how I date. I wanted to find something that would help me date better. And this gave me a lot of great information to use toward that end. I'd like to use this book also within a community that I am starting. So I immediately reached out to the author to see if I could work out a discount for bulk orders. She got back to me right away and said she'd be happy to help me with that. I loved the book. It's a quick read so I read it twice and took notes the second time. I loved the information and I'm grateful that it showed up right when I needed it.

TANTRIC DATING IS ESSENTIAL
Tantric Dating is the best, quality book about how to date with an open-mind and heart. Instead of looking at the physically attractive person as the ideal, look for what connects you on a mental and emotional level. Whether it works or not, it's shows that we really need to look at a person's heart. It also has some good eye-opening exercises you can practice while dating.

A refreshing take on love for spiritual seekers
In Tantric Dating Catherine Auman offers a new mindset and practical advice for the spiritual seeker who is looking to co-create a healthy, conscious intimate relationship. I am excited about putting these teachings into action.
In very few words, Auman challenges the conventional dating “rules” and offers a more compassionate approach to connecting with potential and current lovers to create more meaningful, lasting relationships. I particularly appreciated the mix of humor and down-to-earth examples with the application of spiritual teachings and psychological scholarship. I know I’ll be going back and listening to the exercises over and over again as I have opportunities to experiment with them in different contexts.
I found the tone graceful, kind, and gentle; the author manages to challenge without judging and steer without preaching. Auman’s experience as a psychologist, spiritual being, and loving human permeates each sentence; I trust her claims and her belief in the power of the tantric path. This is a great read/listen for anyone looking deepen all kinds of relationships: with others, with themselves, with a higher power.
At first I found the phrasing and pacing of the reader a little distracting, but I almost always find that with a new audio book. Within a few minutes, I was happily focused on the content of Tantric Dating and enjoying every minute of this short and empowering audio book.
