It's tough being a country girl in the big city, especially when werewolves are murdering their way through the underworld! Meet Threadbare. He is 12 inches tall, full of fluff, and really, really bad at being a hero. Magically animated and discarded by his maker as a failed experiment, he is saved by a little girl. But she's got problems of her own, and he might not be able to help her. Fortunately for the little golem, he's quick to find allies, learn skills, gain levels, and survive horrible predicaments. Which is good, because his creator has a whole lot of enemies …

But Wynne has traded one set of foes for another, and a hunter in old tech armor wants him for sinister purposes. Neither fully man or machine, it's up to this new bunker core to rise up against all odds, using his wits and technology to prevail against twisted animal-folk, shining mutants, and threats literally from out of this world.

Threadbare finds himself on a collision course with dark things, wendigo queens, and mysterious Players who have sinister plans for him. But underneath it all, a decades-old struggle comes to a head. The world itself threatened by corruption and destruction. Threadbare must save the world and save his friends, or else all will be lost.

Wynne might have been human once. It's hard to say. Now he's a bunker core, a nanomachine controller responsible for an entire complex. Of course, the place is a bit wrecked. Only thing is not everyone she cares about is so easily located, and she must contend with gangsters, shadowy intrigues from dubious employers, and rival supervillains. Oh, and heroes, too. Can't forget them, they're everywhere. From civil-minded super-speedsters to incompetent time-travelers, all of them want to see Dire brought down for her crimes.

Dire has done the unthinkable and forged an alliance with a hero to bring the fight to the Murder Maestro, in the heart of Britain itself. But the sinister mind manipulator's roots run deep here, and Dire will find herself up against both new faces and old foes...not all of them human. Her travels will take her to worlds beyond and places most would tremble to venture. But she is Dire, and all shall tremble before her!

Threadbare has been kidnapped by pirates! But this is just the first step in the plan of the malevolent and mysterious puppeteer who's manipulated the pirates into bear-nappery. Which was supposed to be a proper princess kidnapping. To uncover this strange mastermind's plan and properly thwart it, Threadbare must play along, keep his friends alive while they attempt to rescue him, make new friends, and help the old ones during this dangerous journey to parts unknown, all to confront the deadly and devious beastkin known only as the Phantom of the Lop Ear….

Kril Granger has gathered a good crew and managed to finish a profitable job. But things are a little too hot in their usual regions, so it's time to pick up stakes and head coreward. Along the way, they'll be passing through the dark spaces of the galaxy and turning up threats ranging from overprotective AIs to invasive nano-using overlords. All this while dealing with a mixed, quarrelsome crew that would rather die than give up their secrets. It's a hard life being a scrapper. It's a harder death if they get it wrong...

During Doctor Dire's undercover stay in a quiet banana republic, revolution interrupts her sinister master plan. Forced into action to once again prevent genocide, she ends up taking on far more responsibility than she ever wanted. With the fate of an entire nation in her hands, and the enemies against her both hidden and blatant, she'll be hard-pressed to give her adopted country a happy ending. But she is Dire, and her enemies will fear her before all is done.

Brought to this infernal realm by villainous shenanigans, Doctor Dire still lives, and fights to free herself and her companions from eternal torment. But the odds are long, and she must struggle to glean resources, recruit Damned souls, and fend off demons and fallen angels. It's a one-way trip down, to find the center of Hell and pass out and back to Creation. But Hell's master may have other plans for Dire.
