Salt didn’t actually exist when he joined, it was a small, family owned exec search business that soon changed with Elliot’s influence. As Salt gathered momentum, they soon acquired another business named 'Salt’ in New Zealand and that’s where things really took off.

Elliot has an incredible energy and passion for growing a fantastic business that can truly change the Digital Recruitment world. Whilst growing international teams at work, he is also the father of 3 children and has a super active lifestyle - an inspirational guy for sure!

  • Season 3 | Ep 19 - Angela Horkings never wanting to go back to the pre-covid pace of life!
    Nov 27 2020

In today’s episode, alongside co-host Pete Watson, I was joined on LinkedIn live by Angela Horkings, Co-Founder & Director of Tandem Partners - a boutique HR Recruitment Agency in Australia.

Angela is a recent member of the Hoxo Academy and someone I worked with weekly during the extended lockdown in Melbourne.

In today’s episode she discussed how 2020 started off with the news of the leader of their Sydney office suffering injury in a tragic accident. The rest of the year continued to provide incredible challenges.

The one stand out comment that Angela made referred to the ‘pace of life’ pre and post COVID. She has learnt that we simply do not need to rush around day in and day out in order to be successful. We can in fact find more time for ourselves and families whilst maintaining our performance.

An open discussion that left me feeling good about the future, if you would like to reach out to Angela and ask any questions directly, she is more than happy to help.

  • Season 3 | Ep 21 - Anton Roe on remaining calm through the pandemic when his life in Australia depended on it!
    Dec 4 2020

In today’s episode, alongside co-host Pete Watson, I was joined on LinkedIn live by Anton Roe, Director at Marshall McAdam - a boutique Recruitment Agency in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia.

Anton is a seasoned recruiter who left the UK for a life overseas 5 years ago. He moved to Australia in 2016 and joined the business 2 years ago to lead and scale the business with support of the founders.

In today’s episode, Anton shared his experience of moving to Australia and leading the business through the Pandemic.

Most notably he talked about the fact that when COVID hit, he had recently relocated his son full time from the UK to Australia and was still technically living on a working visa before he could move over to a spousal visa via his Australian wife in August 2020. Ultimately this meant that had he been let go by the business as a result of the pandemic he would have had to leave the country along with his son.

    The stakes were high

I love how relaxed and calm Anton is as a person, this has been developed further during his long leadership career.

The business has survived well so far with Anton being creative about new products and services. A wonderful conversation with a truly genuine person, if you would like to reach out to Anton and ask any questions directly, he is more than happy to help.
