This week, we're building out a dry-tent and chopping down the Tropaya tomatoes! This is where months of effort, stress, and pride can go straight down the drain. Drying and curing is (possibly) the most important time when it comes to producing a tomato that burns with a white ash, oil ring, and full flavor to the glass tip. The smell from the plant is very nice and has a sour candy element to it! I'm excited to get these over the LPI screens and static tech the tomato resin!

During the Hash Bash weekend in Ann Arbor, I had the opportunity to capture a conversation with photographer & activist Leni Sinclair. We discussed how Hash Bash came to be & how cannabis is still used as a political tool! This conversation is one that holds a lot of value, and is worth multiple listens! The rabbit hole is nearly endless and worth researching for yourself! It's worth learning about the White Panther Party, The MC5, and the link between John Sinclair's arrest and Watergate. A couple of weeks ago, I went to Shoreline Smokeout and I had the opportunity to moderate an educational panel on cultivation techniques and theory for Michigan's various environmental regions. This panel was comprised of six cultivators:

Country Roots, Nick Risden/Lyme Rising Farms, Rising Moon Medicinals, Ray Kudronic, Thee Mustache, and Ohana Farms MI.

We captured perspectives on genetic selections, soil preparation mindsets + methods, planting strategies, pest management, and more! There are a lot of fantastic perspectives and bits of knowledge presented in this episode, and I consider my own base of growing knowledge to be expanded after the experience.

Thank you to the Shoreline Smokeout team for the opportunity to expand my mind and my skill sets! This was the first time I've ever led a speaking panel and I was nervous, I think it came out good though!
