About this listen

One minute, Ty’s lounging around, playing his favorite MMOPRPG, Umbra Online. The next, he’s being sucked through an interdimensional portal into the very game itself.

Oh, and someone’s trying to chop his head off!

Trapped in the game, Ty struggles being a PC with a very NPC-ish body and none of the skills or gear his level 50 character had. He’s got to start all over, and the people who summoned him aren’t making it easy, frustrated they got a scrawny 14-year-old kid instead of the monster-killing badass they expected.

Now, he’s gotta step up and prove he can save their world from destruction or die trying…and he really, really doesn’t want to die, seeing how only the eternal emptiness of limbo awaits, caught in the game’s coding.

In Halgor's Horde, Ty get sucked into an MMORPG. He finds out that he was summoned by NPC's using a spell. Instead of welcoming his powerful warrior character, they are disappointed to find it is just a 14-year-old boy. He needs to level up, learn more about what happened, help the NPC's defend against an attack on their village by Halgor's horde (an army of goblins, orcs, and a troll king), and try to find a way back home.

I enjoyed the book. It is unique due to the young age of the protagonist. It has some nice humor and is enjoyable to read with inventive solutions to problems, including exploiting the games programming. The narration was good.

Good LitRPG Adventure

It took me a bit to get drawn into the story based on how the MC got there. Once I got more into the book the characters started to be more developed and the young man (MC) did the best he could to solve his problem while learning life lessons along the way. I really like litrpg and would have liked to see a bit more of that in the book with his choices. Maybe the next book will have him helping his friends with choices for my litrpg appetite.

Definitely teenager and a good story.
