inspiring message
This helpful book provides the reader with valuable tactics to uncover their natural joy and energy.The author assists in removing any hindrances and old habits, so we can learn to appreciate their life and themselves. There is some effort required, but it doesn't seem like a chore, and it's not overly difficult. It's more like an exciting process that occurs step by step. Recommend this to anyone struggling w/ self doubt
I really hope that this book finds itself in the hands (or ears) of those who need it because it is such a beautiful guide to overcoming self doubt and boosting confidence and self love. The author doesn't just say to love yourself, but gives ways to actually build yourself up step by step so that it feels doable even in those times when you don't believe it. I felt that the exercise where you write down your negative thoughts and reframe them in a positive way was very helpful. That alone really made me realize how often I myself down and got me to see how to shift those thoughts. Another part I liked was setting boundaries. I've always struggled saying no even if it would be totally difficult to do the favor. I feel better about saving my energy for me and other important things. Overall I felt that this was a very helpful book for me and I definitely recommend for anyone struggling with self doubt.

An important audiobook!
In my generation, self love was often confused with selfishness and considered a flaw. I’m so happy for the author bringing forth this highly important book, especially considering the many difficulties that people suffer today as a result of poor self esteem and lack of self love. The narration is comfortable and the steps toward change are easy to process. Imagine the world we would live in if everyone applied the information and guidance offered here!

Very informative
One of the questions I've heard a few times in life is, how are you going to love someone else when you don't love yourself? Leaving to love yourself is not easy, but the tips and exercises recommended in this book are great methods to use to help on the journey of self love throughout many aspects of our lives.

Take Care of Yourself! A Useful Guide about US!
Encouragement on how to take care of ourselves! What an inspirational book with applicable tools, techniques, and exercises. I appreciated the goal set at the beginning of the book about "long-term happiness, health, and safety." This is really all-encompassing in life. Some key takeaways are that we need to trust in our own wisdom and experiences. Get rid of self-loathing, which includes practical exercise to achieve. Some of the suggestions included journaling for self reflection and gratitude.
Other great suggestions included things like:
- surrounding ourselves with positive people
- eliminating all that causes self-hate
- not taking things too personally
- being able to walk away from toxicity
- no to run away for change
And another suggestion that is so important is that failing is OK! We grow!
Appreciate this author's perspective and insights. Great book and has the content to help many people. Well written!

Be True To Yourself!
This book was a breath of fresh air for myself. Play on words there, but so true. Self-love, self-respect, self-soothing, self-acceptance, self-care, learn it all right here. The mindfulness materials are abundant to change that distorted thinking. The self-acceptance practice is a great tool. No one else can control how you treat yourself--that was an AHA moment. Loved this book.

Still learning to love myself in the kind way.
For a long time, I didn’t even realize how hard I was on myself. I thought low self-esteem only showed up in obvious ways, but for me, it was quiet.. like brushing off compliments or doubting myself every time I wanted to try something new. Listening to this audiobook made me feel like someone finally put words to things I didn’t know how to explain. It’s not overly complicated, it just gently walks you through how to notice those patterns and start being a little kinder to yourself. I’m still working on it, but it reminded me that self-love isn’t selfish, it’s necessary.
