About this listen
New Saucerian proudly presents perhaps the most famous flying saucer book ever: Gray Barker's They Knew Too Much About Flying Saucers! From flying saucers to the underground denizens of Lemuria, it's all here in this ufological classic.
This 2014 reprint features the wonderful cover art from the dust jacket to the original hardback, first published in 1956. This edition faithfully reproduces the original, both inside and out, and is a great addition to any saucer collection.
Just who are these darkly dressed men who go after UFO witnesses - those who might "know too much"? Why do they frighten, interrogate, and physically harm innocent civilians? Barker's answers shocked the world and raised awareness about the threat of the MIB.
If you enjoyed Barker's Men in Black: The Secret Terror Among Us, you will enjoy this finely crafted star in the pulp pantheon.

Communion is the iconic classic in which Whitley Strieber describes his 1985 close encounter experiences. This book, which fundamentally changed the way we understand close encounters and alien abductions, is presented here with a new introduction by the author. Do not miss this great classic and the powerful introduction that explores the situation as it stands today—even more provocative and important now, as official sources are admitting that UFOs are real unknowns and that they seem to have something to do with close encounters.

In this Saucerian roundtable discussion, several luminaries in the paranormal field offer their thoughts on the Inner Earth theory. Does the subterranean world support several different races of sentient beings, as well as impressive underground cities linked by underground tunnels? Do surface dwellers sometimes stumble upon above-ground openings to this subterranean realm? Do we often meet the denizens of the underworld and not even know it?

Keel was one of the first to note that the UFO phenomenon appears in different disguises - and that one could not begin to decipher this great mystery without first taking into account its many and varied deliberate deceptions.

In Dimensions, Dr. Jacques Vallee reexamines the historical record that led to the modern UFO phenomenon and to the belief in alien contact. He then tackles the enigma of abduction reports, which come from various times and various countries, as well as the psychic and spiritual components of the contact experience. In the last portion of the book, he notes the factors that inhibit research into the phenomenon - the triple coverup and political motivations - and concludes that the extraterrestrial theory is simply not strange enough to explain the facts.

Flying Saucer to the Center of Your Mind is a collection of magazine articles and lectures by the man many consider to be not only the 20th century’s premiere investigator of all things unusual and “Fortean,” but also our very own 20th-century “Mark Twain”: John A. Keel. Many of the articles in this anthology and its companion volumes, "The Outer Limits of the Twilight Zone" and "Searching for the String," were revolutionary, and explored ideas popularized in Keel’s classic books.

A true classic of Flying Saucer lore!
This is a book written by Gray Barker in 1956, when flying saucers were basically a part of 50’s pop culture! It’s all here, the flying saucers, the Flatwoods Monster, the story of Al Bender and his encounters with the terrifying Men In Black! The narrator is IMO excellent- he sounds exactly how I picture a young Gray Barker sounding in 1956! It is very well written and also sometimes pleasantly humorous at times! If you like UFO tales and also classic UFO information... you can’t go wrong here!

Fun '50s Zaniness from Hoaxer Not in Keel's League
I'm enjoying the book, but by his own admission Barker was just an entertainer making money--and really, you can assume that of all the great UFOlogists. Or, quite possibly, they were secret-agent "controlled opposition," which is a bit more sinister. Mass distraction. Early in this UFO classic someone poops their pants in fear of a flying saucer. That called to mind the scene in "The Untouchables" where Malone (a fierce Sean Connery), having ventilated the noggin of what was actually already a corpse, won't let a terrified mobster witness clean his drawers till he spills the beans on crime boss Capone. (Pee-yu!) That was an earthly jump-scare, but the intrepid Barker takes us further out into the unknown, and dutifully warns of the extraterrestrial boogeymen flying our skies and knocking on our doors. Frankenstein's Monster gets name-dropped as "Frankenstein." I was afraid of that movie monster when I was a kid in the '70s, so maybe within the culture at large he was often referenced as a scary creature at the time of the publication of TKTMAFS. (Wonder what 1950s folk would have thought of H.R. Giger's Alien!) Dig the original book cover, which looks very snazzy in an Audible library! This is no tearjerker for which you'll need to keep a box of Kleenex handy, but if there's any chance an account of UFOs will give you a nervous breakdown, you might want to make sure your bathroom is stocked up with Charmin. This is Earth vs unpredictable enemies from Beyond. This is red-blooded men with crewcuts against pasty-faced Men in Black. This ain't the five and dime, the drive-in or the roller rink. Suspend your disbelief and enter the spectral world of otherworldly agents and ordinary-folk-taunting spacecraft that are "scarier than Frankenstein"! Brrrr!!!

Testimony from early UAP/UFO researchers.
Interesting narrative about the systematic harrassment of UFO researchers by agents unknown (Men in Black) in the early 50's. Personal testimony of the author's relationships with other researchers who were threatened for their activities.
