About this listen

Allow me to introduce myself: my name is Rosaleen O’Connor. There I was, living an ordinary midlife, quite a good one as far as I knew. Until my husband pulled the rug out from under me, trading me in for a younger model and informing me that our beloved house in London’s Notting Hill was being repossessed.

So, with limited choices at my disposal, I landed in the home of my ancestors on the wild Atlantic West coast of Ireland. I soon found out that all was not as it appeared to be and that I was not who I believed myself to be.

Could I do it? As a mother of one grown up daughter and would-be interior designer, could I design a new life and a whole new identity for myself? With my astonishing new-found witchy powers and the help of my weird collection of new neighbours, none of whom were quite what they seemed either, could I defeat the forces of darkness? The Morrigan, goddess of war and Jalmari, the leader of the Dark Fae army, who together sought to destroy me and all that was good in the world? I would soon find out at The Great Battle of Samhain…

Join me on my magical transformation in book one of this wild and wonderful paranormal women’s fiction series.

Great Story

Edit: Well the story hooked me in and I did finish through Book 5. Book 6 isn't available as of yet on Audible and I just don't have time to sit down and read the traditional way. Very good story, but I still don't like virtual voice.

3/29/2025: Loved the story but not the virtual narration. It's hard to tell who is talking, as there is no differentiation between characters, and the tone of the narration is often "off" and doesn't make a lot of sense. I found myself needing to rewind and listen to passages a second time very carefully to get what was meant in the text. I don't think I will finish the series.
