'Once in a while I read a series that reminds me of just why I love enemies to lovers, slow burn, and morally grey characters so much. Gods and Monsters is that series. This is perfection. Amber Nicole's Dianna is the FMC of my soul' NISHA J. TULI

Don't miss this second addictive instalment in the Gods & Monsters series from BookTok sensation, Amber V. Nicole!

When I burn this world to embers, and you paint me as the villain, remember,
I really did try to be good . . . once.

Dianna is hellbent on revenge. As the last shred of her humanity is ripped from her, she decides to embrace her monstrous side and set the worlds alight.

Samkiel alone refuses to believe that she has become the monster that everyone else sees, and he'll do anything in his power to save her from herself, even if it means losing her.

With every realm now at risk from Kaden's army, and a myriad of new threats on the horizon, Samkiel can't afford to let his guard down. And as Dianna's thirst for blood only increases, he is running out of time to save them both . . .
Don't miss the first book in this series, THE BOOK OF AZRAEL and look out for THE DAWN OF THE CURSED QUEEN . . .

'Amber's series breaks the rules in the best way. Her main character is strong, capable, and unapologetically powerful. There is no damsel here. This story is filled with fast-paced action, an in-depth world, and a romance that goes from simmer to boil. If you like romantasy, read this!' RAVEN KENNEDY

'A wicked ride from beginning to heart shattering end. Leaving me literally screaming for more. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to get more our morally corrupt heroine who you can't help but root for, along with the giggle inducing banter between her and the heroic god Samkiel' HANNAH NICOLE MAERHER

Good

It was a good read, just wish they hadn’t spent so much time trying to get Diana

Romance

Everything mucho good, lots of plot. A lot of people said it was repetitive but I didn’t think it was. I thought it was perfect to showcase how Dianna heals from the most crazy amount of heartbreak.

The Throne of Broken Glass

This books keeps surprising me. The characters are evolving and learning much about themselves, their powers, their allies, and their enemies. The plot thickens and live is on the radar. Heavily. A lot of action and romance …. Great book!! Ruthie Bowles continues to do an excellent job. The male voices still don’t donut for me. It’s a better if taste I guess …. But I do love her female voices.

Long and kinda slow

I enjoyed the first book but I found this book to be too long and go with long periods of boring conversations. I did read the third book which is a lot better. This book is basically building the plot, so it’s slow but necessary. Personally I think hours could be cut out but in the end I really like this series.

Favorite FMC!

Diana is one of my top favorite main female characters. She walks into any room with no fears, powerful, and great banter. I wish more main female characters had her confidence. This story is filled with tons of emotional tension. This is a mix between Nesta (ACOTR) with her emotional state getting thought losing her sister. There is pain and grief plus love tension that is a very slow love burn. The true plot does drag on and it takes forever to bring too light where the story was going and who the real threat was. I still highly recommend this series.

Excellent character development, great story but dragged in places

The overall story was really great with excellent character building. World building wasn’t prominent but wasn’t really needed here. The focus on Diana’s journey was wonderful but dragged at times, going on and on for longer than was necessary. I feel the story could’ve have been condensed in a few spots while still getting to the depth it needed. But I suppose that was to really build the arch for the last few hours of the book. Narrator mispronouncing words kind of pulled me from the story sometimes but it wasn’t the worst. Her performance is good overall but Samkiel’s voice lacks nuance and character, typically feeling flat or angry when other tones are needed.

Hit a mark and Narrorator is impressive

The story was hard for stick to with the MFC being so moody. Tho, when it got down to it, I remembered when I forgot everything the person who died that i loved because I had no one to talk to it hit a path. The narrorator is amazing doing so many voices, male and female. She is impressive.

Incredible. Might be the best book I’ve ever read!

In the first book I had difficulty connecting with the characters, but I persisted because there have been so much hype around it/the series, and thank gods I did!! this quite possibly might be the best book I have ever read! The smut is top-tier, incredibly detailed, and lasts more than a minute or so, like some other books. However, it also is not too frequent to the point where it is aggressive. Additionally, the twists and turns of this book are absolutely insane!! 100% worth the money/read/listen!!!

Loved the book! The narrator is wonderful.

I really liked this story, and the narration. I’m always a little taken aback by the snotty tone of the FMC, I’m not sure that’s as necessary as they interpreted it… but it’s easy enough to ignore by book 2.
