About this listen
Seven Rooms. Seven Rules. One Book You Won’t Forget.
The Seventh Room and Other Hauntings is a chilling collection of modern horror stories where nothing is as it seems, and the echoes of the past refuse to stay silent. From cursed architecture to sentient towns, haunted seas to fractured reflections, these tales explore the places we aren’t meant to go—and the things that wait for us there.
Step aboard a derelict vessel that rewrites the names of its crew. Stand beneath a nesting tree that feeds on grief. Explore a collector’s basement where stories aren’t written in ink. Stare too long into a mirror and meet the version of yourself that wants out. And if you’re brave enough, open the door to the seventh room—just don’t expect to leave with your memories intact.
Perfect for fans of psychological horror, folk dread, and quiet terror that lingers long after the last page, this anthology is a descent into beautifully written nightmares. Each story is a self-contained journey—and together, they build a world where horror is patient, watching, and deeply personal.

About the Author
Scott Oscar lives in the central Idaho mountains, in the small town of Stanley, where the fog rolls thick and the stories come darker. A former miner turned full-time writer, Scott draws inspiration from isolation, folklore, and the unnerving silence of the wilderness. He is also the author of the acclaimed horror novel Echoes in the House of Darkness and leads the Desert Wind Coven, a community of seekers, storytellers, and spiritual explorers.
When he’s not writing, Scott can often be found walking deep forest paths, mapping ghost towns, or whispering story ideas into the wind. The Seventh Room and Other Hauntings is his first horror anthology—and perhaps not his last.
