About this listen
Addison Monroe took a chance on becoming a Guardian to fight alongside the forces of Heaven in the war against Hell. A girl with a dark past, she had nothing to lose...until she fell in love with Jack Bennett. Now that she's lost him too, there's nothing left for her but a mission - a cause she's truly come to believe in. With one of Hell's most notorious demons - Lilith, mother of legions - after her, she can't afford to let her personal life become a distraction.
As the war with Hell continues, Jack Bennett fights to get himself back in the game. Little does he know that returning home will only complicate matters, as nothing can ever be the same between him and the two people he cares for most in the world: his best friend, and the love of his life.
Micah Boudreaux never thought he would get stuck babysitting "the chosen one" all by himself, but without his partner, Jack, in the picture, he isn't left with much of a choice. The fact that she's a demon half-breed only reminds him of all he's lost to the side of Evil. Yet, hating her becomes difficult, as he's forced to work alongside her on a mission he's spent seven years trying to complete. He never counted on Addison stoking feelings in him that have lain dormant for so long.
It's wrong to want her. She's his best friend's girl, and has the blood of demons running through her veins. Yet, despite all of it, the demon-hunter with a complicated past will dare to hope for more. Even though life has never given him much, he will dare to hope for love...even in the midst of a dark world and a conflict he sees as unwinnable.

Great addition to the series
Any additional comments?
The war between heaven and hell is never ending. Things change from day to day. You never know what will happen or who your next battle will be with. Friend or foe.
Once again the story pulls you right in and never lets go until the last sentence. It pulls the characters (and you) though a wide variety of emotions. Regardless if you like the direction the story is taking or you wish it would unfold differently, you cannot deny that Elise Marion knows how to tell one heck of a story that is very entertaining, interesting and engaging. She blends her stories with the perfect amount of suspense, action, intrigue, mystery and steamy scenes. The twists and surprises keep coming.
You really need to read the series in order. This is not one of those series that each book is a standalone. This story picks up where the first book ended and builds on the events that took place in the first book.
Even though Addison chose to align herself with Heaven in war against Hell, she is straddling a thin line between good and evil. She could go either way. Learning who her step father may be a game changer and have lasting repercussions.
Even Guardians aren’t always perfect. No matter what they have trained/prepared for they cannot control their heart. They have feelings, heartache, joys, doubts and every other emotion. This complicates things when emotions get in the way. We have the makings of a love triangle….nooo…seriously ….even if it was only for comfort. Have I said I hate love triangles. Without Jack, Micah and Addison are left continue the fight against evil. The absence of Jack and the loss they feel from his "death" lead them to seek comfort in each other which in turns bring them closer.
Be warned this story does end in a cliffhanger. Really looking forward to the next book in the series. Definitely a series I will continue with.
Henry McNulty does a great job with the narration. Nice voice. Easy to listen to for long periods of time. Clearly spoken with a smooth even pace. Really good character voices. It was always easy to tell who was speaking. He was able to bring the characters and the story to life. He is the perfect narrator for this series. Very enjoyable.

Jack works out his issues only to find more he was unprepared for.

The Cajun character of Miccah is quite entertaining.

Henry McNulty leaves me breathless.
What made the experience of listening to The Seal the most enjoyable?
Beside the amazing writing by Elise Marion, the narrator, Henry McNulty, is absolutely the best i have ever heard. Henry could read the ingredients on the cereal box and leave me panting for more. His sultry voice is so languid I could just float away.
Who was your favorite character and why?
My favorite character is Micha. Beneath the tough facade beats the heart of a gentle giant. I long to fix him and take away his pain. The fact that he is built like Thor doesn't hurt matters in the least.
Which character – as performed by Henry McNulty – was your favorite?
Again I have to say Micha, Henry nails that Cajun french accent beautifully.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Definitely. Henry McNulty brought this book to life and played it out in front of me. I was sucked in from page one.
Any additional comments?
The heartbreak, lust, and the need for revenge are palpable while listening to Henry McNulty narrate Elise Marion's The Seal. Having left me with one hell of a cliffhanger in the previous book, The Guardians, I was salivating for more.
Can I take a moment to appreciate the Fantastic specimen that is Micah? Lord have mercy! Write me in as a character and let me heal his broken soul.
The narration brought this action and fast-paced storyline to life. The connection I felt towards Addison and Micah was real. Their pain burned into me. I can't even.
Once again Elise Marion has left me with one heck of a cliffhanger and waiting in limbo for book 3.

It just gets better and better!!!
This book was as great as the first if not better. Elise wove a wonderful story with her words and Henry gave it an awesome voice. Getting lost in Addison's world and hearing about her fight against evil was awesome. This war Elise has created and the awesome battles she shows is just amazing. I'm not a very (or really any at all) religious person, but this is one of those stories that it doesn't matter and I don't want to stop listening to it. I can't wait to find out what all is in store for the guardians in book 3.

What Do You Expect Out of Demons?
What did you like best about this story?
I enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about Micah's sister, Tracy, and her relationship with Micah and Jack. The information helped me understand Micah, Jack and their motivations better.
What does Henry McNulty bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Henry does a great job of bringing out the emotion in the story. Given the emotional nature of it, this is really helpful. It allowed me to catch more of the nuances in the story. He also helps the story to flow which allows the listener to just let the story roll through them. I really enjoyed the narration of this story.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, and I did. Thanks Elise and Henry.
Any additional comments?
The Seal picks up right where The Guardians left off.
This is a very good story. It is a bit typical of the second book in a series - filling in a lot of missing information, learning more about the characters, and setting the scene for future stories. It does have action and progress is made toward the initial goals of the overall story.
It also introduces a completely new element that will have a major effect on the fulfillment of those goals. It is not just a filler story, but it has filler elements. The very end of the book also introduces yet another obstacle to be overcome.
I didn't feel like the story was one whole, complete story. That, combined with the new cliffhanger, keeps the story from being 5 stars.
The characters become more complete during this story. We get to learn a lot more about them and about their motivations. We also get to learn more about the things the demons will do to beat them. Being demons, you can imagine.
Watch for new information about Addison's step father, it's kind of funny in a macabre way.
I really enjoyed this story. If you read The Guardians, you should also read The Seal.
Thanks Elise for the opportunity to read The Seal.

Protect the Seal
In this book, our heroine is tasked with protecting the Seal of Solomon and dispatching demons back to hell. The only problem is her love was killed and she's having to figure out how to move on without him...
What she doesn't know is that he is only in purgatory. Jack is desperate to get back to her.
This is definitely a book where you can feel the raw emotions of the characters. The guilt, sadness, and love are on display. I'm interested to see where this story goes in future books! There are some twists to the book that were hard to see coming.
This would be a great book to listen to if you enjoyed the first book in the series. While some background is provided, I think it would be best to listen to it before listening to this book because the story picks up just days after the first ended.

Great Addition to the Guardians Series
I enjoyed the first book in this series and this one does not disappoint! I think I actually like this one even better than the first one. The story sucked me in and kept me in the edge of my seat until the cliffhanger conclusion. I hate cliffhangers but I guess I'll live... lol At least I was prepared the second time around!
The narrator did and excellent job bringing the story to life. I really like his voice and his cajun accent is awesome!
I was shocked at some of the turn of events towards the end of the book. Jack & Addison's relationship just got a lot more complicated! Micah is really growing on me too. There is action, suspense, danger, betrayal, misunderstandings, drama, and romance. It's the whole package of great paranormal romance.
I'm sooooo looking forward to the next book in this series! I can hardly wait! Hurry up please!

Angels VS Demons.... the story continues.
The story continues...
By that I mean if you haven't heard or read the first book in the series, please stop and do that first. These books need to be read in order. There are plenty of references to incidents, characters and so on from the earlier book.
Now, this book is very interesting. It is less romance and more paranormal. The development towards a full scale war between heaven and hell continues with plenty of skirmishes. Addison and Micah are trying to cope with Jack's death while Addison, being pivotal to heaven's success in battling demons, is coming into her own power and understanding her light. She is learning to temper her darkness and harness it for good. It seems inevitable that she and Micah should turn to each other for solace. And then the game changer...
This series has a lot of potential. The plot is complex with plenty of intertwining events and characters. Just when you have the threads untangle (to some extent) Elise Marion introduces a bend and twist and the story takes on another layer. I am looking forward to finding out how the whole thing plays out.
Henry McNulty is a natural storyteller. He brings the characters to life, modifying his voice as required. He takes you into the book and makes you feel like you are there. Just without being covered in demon blood and guts (Thank goodness!).
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Guardian Love..
Any additional comments?
When the second book in the series starts, not much time has passed since the first book has ended.
I liked Micah in book one and looked forward to his own book.
However, I do not like Love Triangles.
I felt Micah should have been able to find his own woman and besides, Jack had not been presumed dead long enough.
Where was the loyalty to Jack?
The story line was written well but I detest love triangles and this one ruined the story for me.
This book ends on a Cliff Hanger just as the first story.
Henry McNulty did well with the narration as usual.
