About this listen

Jasmine Singhal has spent her life dodging shadows, unaware that her father's dark past as an underworld kingpin has made her a pawn in a deadly game. Fiercely independent, she refuses to bow down—even when ruthless crime lord Vijay sets his sights on her, claiming she belongs to him.
Enter Prithvi Singhania, a sharp-tongued, quick-witted elite theif who would rather keep his head down than get involved in anyone else’s battles. But when Jasmine's fiery defiance drags him into her chaotic world, Prithvi finds himself torn between protecting her and falling for the storm she embodies.
As threats close in, the two must fight side by side, navigating a web of danger, deception, and desire. Their banter sparks as fiercely as their chemistry, and each step towards survival binds them closer together. But with Vijay obsessed, Harsh’s criminal legacy looming, and death lurking around every corner, Jasmine and Prithvi must confront their feelings—and their enemies—before it’s too late.
Can love rise amidst bullets and betrayal, or will their passion burn out in the crossfire?
Exert from the book:
The room, though small, seemed to shrink further under the sheer presence of the man who had just upended Jasmin’s life in the most audacious way imaginable. She let go of his hand, her voice trembling with disbelief as she blurted, “Who on earth are you?”

Prithvi leaned against the wall, a cocky grin spreading across his face as if he’d just walked into a coffee shop rather than a scene of chaos. “Is that any way to talk to your lover or saviour you might add?”

“My lover?” she echoed, a laugh that bordered on hysteria bubbling up. “Savior? You mean the guy who just waltzed in and made an already terrible situation ten times worse? she demanded, her words sharp and incredulous.

He pushed himself off the wall with a lazy grace. “Oh, come on. I definitely made it more interesting. You should thank me. Not everyday you get saved by a guy who looks this good and is this modest about it.”

She squinted at him, her brow furrowed. “Do you even know what you just did? Do you understand what kind of mess you’ve just walked into?”

“Sure do.” He paused dramatically. “I saved a damsel in distress. A very dramatic, very exhausted damsel, might I add. He replied smugly, crossing his arms. “You should have seen your face walking up to that altar. You looked like a sheep being led to slaughter.” He paused, his grin widening. “By the way, you’re welcome."

“Right.” She paced back and forth, her sarcasm ramping up. “So, what’s next? Do we ride off into the sunset with you dramatically saving me from doom, wearing shiny armor and tights?”

“Shiny armor?” He gave a short laugh. “Sorry, I left my tights at the dry cleaner’s. But seriously, no plan. No escape strategy. No flashy horses. Nada.”

“No plan?” she shot back, incredulous. “You just waltzed in with zero intel, zero escape routes, and that grin?”

“Hey, confidence is a survival tactic,” he said with a wink. “Besides, I like improvising. Keeps life interesting. Don’t you?”

She glared at him. “Interesting. Right. Like how you just made Vijay Rathore even angrier than he already is. Do you realize what you’ve done? You’ve not only embarrassed him but also made him personal enemy number one. In public. For a man like him, that’s worse than death.”

“Public embarrassment?” He raised an eyebrow, unfazed. “Oh, honey, you think Vijay is scary? I’ve dated my fair share of nightmares. Trust me, I can handle it. Plus, I have that face.” He gestured dramatically to his reflection in a cracked mirror. “How can someone with this much charm not survive?”

She shook her head. “Oh, I don’t know, maybe because charm doesn’t exactly stop bullets, does it?”

“Touché,” he said with mock seriousness.
