About this listen

(This is the complete 3-book "Pandemic Diary" series) It can’t happen. Our society is too civil, our civilization too advanced, our technology too developed for a breakdown of law, order, government, and our way of life. At least that’s what we tell ourselves so we can sleep at night. But it can happen, and now it has happened. A pandemic far deadlier than any virus the world has ever seen is spreading. And it’s putting its predecessors – SARS, bird flu, Ebola, even Spanish Influenza and the Plague – to shame. Experience this pandemic and its terrible effects first hand through the eyes of a family doing its best just to survive. Dystopian Post-Apocalyptic Science Fiction

Nope

This got more than one star because of the first in the series, which is pretty enjoyable. While the writing is more like what you'd expect to read from a police officer's report kr anything similar, it's excusable if you're into this kind of literature.

The following two books included here, though, het bad and worse - the final one being a chore to complete and having almost nothing to do with the original premise.

The author throws "plot twists" that are completely random and unsatisfying. There's a lot that can be improved stylistically and unfortunately the AI voice doesn't help at all - on the contrary.

AI narration is still far away from doing a great job and in this particular case it gets the situations wrong on many occasions (eg sounding really happy and upbeat when things are serious/sad).

If you do decide to read this, stop after the first book.

Worst…Narrator. Ever…..Ever….

I have a hard time judging the book because the narrator is singularly inept at telling the story with anything g like a normal cadence, tone, or even understanding of punctuation.
