Meet Jano Borian, a quarterstaff-wielding vigilante who roams the continent of Hazaorok in search of people to aid and wrongs to right. Many take one look at his thuggish countenance and dismiss him as a common criminal, though his shining armor suggests a nobler ancestry. Both would be wrong of his origin, however: he is an enigmatic—and arguably deluded—figure driven by his faith to a god which may or may not exist.

In the Aftdengal Forest, a giant elephantine tyrant named Ephret leads his army upon the town of Ostton, burning it and seizing its people as servants in his dungeon at Claw Hill. When one of his patrol groups is defeated, Ephret’s closest advisor and friend—whom he crippled years ago—warns him of Jano Borian’s likely involvement. This warning, unheeded, may well spell death for the lord of Claw Hill.
