About this listen

In a spellbinding new Highlands story from New York Times best-selling author Lynsay Sands, the laird of the Buchanans finds the one woman who is his equal in passion and courage.

Aulay Buchanan has retreated to his clan’s hunting lodge for a few days of relaxation. But the raven-haired beauty he pulls from the ocean puts an end to any chance of rest. Though he christens her Jetta, she knows nothing of her real identity, save that someone is trying to kill her. As she recovers, it will not be easy for Aulay to protect her and keep her honor intact when she mistakenly believes they are man and wife…

Jetta sees beyond Aulay’s scars to the brave, loyal warrior she’s proud to call her own. But as the attempts on her life grow more brazen, Jetta realizes that not all is as she believes. And if Aulay is not her husband, can she trust the desire flaring in his eyes, or his promise to defend her with his life?

Just Gets Better and Better

The story of each brother is very enjoyable, and for me Aulay's story is endearing. The connection between him and Jetta is great to his surprise from the very beginning. This book will not disappoint. You will be taken on a sensual, emotional and suspenseful ride. LS does it again.

Loved it

I don’t know why some reviewers complained about the narrator, but I think he was good .

The uncomfortable narration

I did not like the narrator. The accent felt forced and the voices of some of the characters were grating to the ears.

Intrigue...

struggled with the reader as the Scottish accent was quite thick...saying that, it made it very authentic as well

good read sexy in just the right amount

read in one 24 HR period. interesting twists to plot although seems like author was in a hurry to finish it by giving the whole story in the sisters confession near the end.

Terrible narration

I love l sands but she seems a bit too fixated on head wounds, also the narrator's attempt at a woman's voice is painful, and the men are as bad.. all sound very dumb! Good story , far from a fave for me though i wouldn't use a credit on it if i had known how much i would want it to he over

Why change narrator in the series

This was one of the worst listens I've endured in quite a while. The narrator made the characters seem like they were brainless Airheads. It was an extremely tough listen this time. I'm a big fan of Lynsay Sands and I look forward to reading or listening to her next books. However, if this narrator will narrate the next book I will not purchase. It's not anything personal against the narrator. He just was not right for this particular book.

Once again the voice spoils the story

The narrator’s voice sounded like a 90 year old man, making his declaration of love and any passionate scene sound very odd, unlikely and gross. His women’s voices sounded very masculine. Please take the time to find the right peron
