Every aspect of the film explored!

Such interesting insights into the actors, auditions, director’s approach, studio’s struggles to control, the depth of its effect on American pop culture, how it’s still so gripping over 50 years later. Just excellent, informative and fun to hear.

Vito didn’t die alone.

What a thrill to have. Di Niro, Duvall, Caan, others and Coppolla himself to talk so candidly about the films. I feel the major allegorical theme of the films is contrasted in the deaths of Vito and Micheal. Vito didn’t die alone (as was said) he died playing with his grandson in the garden. Micheal died alone having lost his family as part of his own dark fate.

I like hearing the input of the experts and the actors and how things affected them along with normal people really enjoyed the views of it. The movie that’s over 50 years old still affecting us today.

The stories of the making of the film

Big Like of the story told. Having the director and stars themselves tell stories as they happened was just really amazing!

Excellent!

Very enjoyable, LOVE The Godfather and really enjoyed the inside information on the history of the filming. Also enjoyed the scholarly perspectives on the film. As well as comments and takes from those involved with the film’s production and those in the film as they look back on it so many years later. I agree one of the best movies ever. I enjoyed this Audible Original Production.

AWESOME For Godfather Fans!

If you're a fan of The Godfather, or any of the sequels, you will most likely enjoy this book.

It's actually a collection of podcasts about the film. The author is trying to answer the question of why the movie is so memorable? Why has it infiltrated nearly every aspect of American life? Why are there so many scenes in cartoons/shows/and other movies featuring quotes from the film? What is it about the movie that makes it so long lasting and beloved?

Featuring interviews with Francis Ford Coppola, Talia Shire, Pacino, DeNiro and Duval , the authors of The Godfather Doctrine, and the designer of The Godfather video game, and many others, this was a lot of fun. I guarantee you will learn something new about this classic film, even if you've seen it dozens of times like I have.

This did get a bit repetitive at times but that is mostly due to the episodes being all lumped together in this one book, but I enjoyed the hell out of it, just the same.
