About this listen
The Homelanders are attacking - and it’s Charlie’s last chance to stop them.
Charlie West was an ordinary high school kid who went to bed one night and woke up in the clutches of terrorists and wanted by the police for murder. He also woke up with no memory of the events of the last year. His memory is returning now and has brought the terrible realization that he knows when the terrorists are going to strike next.
Whatever it takes, Charlie knows he can’t give in or give up until they’re stopped...even when the final hour is ticking away.

As a reporter for his high school newspaper, Tom Harding was tracking the best story of his life - when, suddenly, his life turned very, very weird. He woke up one morning to find his house empty…his whole town empty…empty except for an eerie fog - and whatever creatures were slowly moving toward him through the fog. How did it happen? Is it real? Is he dreaming? Has there been a zombie apocalypse? Has he died and gone to hell? Tom is a good reporter, but no one has ever covered a story like this before.

Karol Charles does not have time for ghosts. It’s Christmas Eve and she’s at the office. Sure, her kids thought she’d be making cookies with them back at home, but this is important. This is what it means to “have it all.” Then, a familiar cough from the adjacent room jolts her out of her work. It can’t be possible. Marley is dead. She has been for years.

Great story and good ending for the final book in the series
store is really good and kept me really engaged just like the other three. The only part that I had a force my way through was the airplane scene when they're flying into their final city.

Great Series
I enjoyed the series and listened to all four of the books. It was action packed from start to finish and something exciting happened constantly. I do think it got to be a bit much over time. Noone would survivie that much and catch so many lucky breaks to get out of such tough spots. Still it was a lot of fun; I do think it would have been better as a three book series so it would not have gotten so far fetched.
I do hope we see Charlie West in a future series.

Homelanders is a great series
Klavan is a great story teller. Although I missed hearing Klavans voice in this series, I realiezed that his vocals just would not have worked for the young voices and the foreign voices. The Homelander series is a great series. It is a mix between Jason Bourne and the Lorien Legacies series, withiout the aliens. It is intense from beginning to end. Some of the story line is a bit far fetched, but the charaters make up for it. Klavan really creates some great charaters. I have a feeling that we haven't seen the end of Charlie West.

An inspiring,uplifting, and exciting story!
This series is written for young adults, in the voice of a young adult. As an older adult, that was, at first a bit distracting to me. However, understanding why Mr. Klavan chose to use this voice, I persevered, and I am delighted that I did.
This book - this series - is very relevant to our world today. It not only explains and defends, but more importantly portrays truths that more people should be aware of, and does so in a way that demonstrates the value and effect of these truths in real life - in my life, and the lives of others like me.
I also appreciate the fact that it’s clean.
I am, once again, grateful to Mr. Klavan for an excellent series. I’ve seen bits of info about a possible movie. I’m hoping it gets made!

Action Packed, but with Morals
Klavan finishes his series strong. The whole series is action packed, but here he turns the amp up to 11. It obviously stretches credulity, but that's sort of the point of a book like this. My son and I read this together, and he loved it. It helped him get into reading, and I loved being able to use this as a jumping off point to discuss more serious topics.

Good, Clean, Suspense... Loved the Entire Series!
I was hooked after book 1 and immediately purchased and listened to the rest of the series.
I bought them to listen to with my 14 yr old son as we travel but I found myself cheating and listening on the way to work and when he was not in the car. I was hooked and the suspense got the best of me. I enjoyed the Good, Wholesome, Clean story line and the suspense that came along with it. Highly recommend.
