Story
Georgette Sinclair was a jilt. She ended a perfectly suitable engagement to a perfectly suitable man, less than two weeks before her wedding. Georgette’s stepmother washed her hands of the ungrateful girl. She had already fired off three of Georgette’s sisters and her own two daughters. Georgette’s selfish actions put a blot in that good lady’s copy book. Until enough time passed to win her family's forgiveness, and fresh scandal distracted the ton, Georgette was sent to Rosborough Hall, to cheer an invalid relative. She thought to have left folly behind, but it pursued her there.

I wish there's an epilogue
I'm surprised that this book has a low rating.
It's a sweet story. I agree that if Abigail was more forthcoming, they wouldn't have suffered, but then there's no story at all - or it would have been a one chapter story.
I like Rudyard's perseverance, and I like Abigail's loyalty.
I don't have any problems with VIrtual Voice narration, I set the speed to 1.8x.

Lewd… Just Simply Lewd
The premise of this story is really pretty good and even the AI narration is ok… except she mispronounces a few words. It’s really going along pretty good until about 2/3rds through (Chapter 33 in fact), and it just becomes downright lewd. So unnecessary. Doesn’t make the story any better. Had already tried to listen to another of the author’s “spinster” series books and it too had been less than clean although mostly inference. So, in an effort to be fair tried another. Just disgusting. Definitely my last of any of this author’s books. Wonder if she is one of the new so-called “Christian” Regency authors? Georgette Heyer would blush.
