About this listen

Captivating. Bold. Enchanting.

It's finally here! Philosophy and stories have never merged so perfectly. The Intellectual Sniper is back with his most anticipated work to date in "The Day She Learned Chess." This time Camper directs his fascinating and engaging message toward women. He stays on brand, not shying away from the taboo topics mainstream media are afraid to touch. The book is loaded with daring hot takes that will make even the most audacious woman blush. #Chess has timeless wisdom that women of all ages can use to enhance their outlook and daily walk. The esteemed author addresses questionable social expectations for women, dealing with conflict and toxicity, femininity, women's sexuality, dating and relationships, and uncomfortable situations women are forced into due to societal programming.

"BE FEMININE. NOT GOOD!"
Sniper wastes no time in his featured Chapter 1 fearlessly named: "Why The Good Girl Keeps Losing & Social Dynamics."
He gives a fair warning, as Chapter 2 contains a very spicy story that's only for the grown women that can handle it. (Strong Adult Content)

"Some parts of the book are very serious, while others are very playful and filled with laughter. This is not about talking at women, it's about really talking with them, and giving a real perspective to help. I wanted to write something that women would be extremely inspired by and proud to be connected to. I purposefully talk about emotional things that many women want to say aloud, but would make many people uncomfortable. This is NOT another comfort zone "safe" piece. But I humbly believe there is something encouraging and powerful in it for every woman." Jamar Camper

Surprisingly deep

When men pen books geared at women, a side eye is my gut reaction, especially given all the toxic so-called dating experts pandering to the sexes and creating more division. However, I needed a light listen while multitasking and was pleasantly surprised that this wasn't a mansplaining, demeaning, or basic book at all. The author really seems to care about women and their success and goes about breaking down the good girl trope that's left so many empty handed while also honoring that goodness in a way society doesn't. He doesn't pit men against women, nor women against women--he puts you in competition only with your own self really. There are some odd skit interludes that I suppose are included to jazz things up a bit, so one star off for those, but the virtual voice reader isn't robotic thankfully, and overall, I appreciated the layers this book sought to peel back from the external, to the internal, to the ancestral.
