About this listen
YOU EITHER BECOME A SUSPECT OR HELPS SOLVE THE CASE. AND SO IT BEGINS…
Prepare for an enthralling journey into the world of crime and mystery with "The Dead Russian Spy," the first installment in the Jack Ryder, Logan Robert Crime Mysteries series. Owen Parr, a masterful storyteller, and acclaimed author, introduces readers to Jack Ryder, a retired Wall Street financial analyst who has embraced a carefree lifestyle aboard his yacht in South Beach, Florida, alongside his loyal companion, beagle Max.
However, Jack's idyllic existence takes a sharp turn when a Russian spy is discovered brutally tortured and shot in the face, mirroring the exact method of killing depicted in Jack's latest novel. Suddenly, Jack finds himself at a crossroads—should he become a suspect in the crime or lend his expertise to Logan Robert, a former Army Special Forces member now working as a homicide detective for the Miami Beach Police Department, in solving the case?
As federal agents closely monitor the Miami Beach Police Department, eagerly awaiting the investigation's progress, Jack must conduct his own inquiry from the confines of his boat. Meanwhile, a phony parallel investigation unfolds within the police station. Delve into the intricate web of deceit, suspense, and intrigue as Jack navigates the murky waters of this murder investigation.
"The Dead Russian Spy" is a gripping novella that will captivate fans of crime mysteries and police procedurals.
Parr's impeccable storytelling will keep readers on the edge of their seats, craving more from this riveting series. Prepare to immerse yourself in a world where the line between truth and deception becomes blurred, and the pursuit of justice becomes a thrilling, pulse-pounding endeavor.

Horrible narration with AI voice
Could hardly stand to listen to this recording. No inflection in voice. Mispronounced words as they were letters like ME should have said Em Ee for medical examiner but instead said “me”. In conversations between more than one person difficult to understand which character was talking. We really like Owen Parr’s writing this does not do his work justice. We had download all three book in series but we will be removing them.
