About this listen

 TRUTH is a poem on the philosophy of non-dualism or monism. It is the first-ever philosophical English work in the form of poetry. Though it was a common practice among the ancient and medieval Indian authors to compose every work including philosophies, dramas, and even treatises on medicines in verses, in the English literary tradition, a versification of academic works is unheard of. Truth is presented in verses to eliminate the complexities inherent in the theory, as seen in the popular books on Advaita, and make it easy for the reader to understand the Ultimate Truth of Existence. Furthermore, to make the criticisms of irrational religious practices, superstitions, and prohibitions seem less harsh, it was necessary to give the work a tinge of rhythm.
