About this listen
Cookie Chanel owns the hottest vintage clothing store this side of the Mason Dixon line. Although, selling fabulous vintage fashion isn’t the only exciting thing Cookie has happening in Sugar Creek, Georgia. Cookie has a Halloween-themed wedding to plan. However, when not one, but two ghosts pop up wanting Cookie’s help solving their murders, then that might just put the nuptials on hold. A gothic skull-shaped hatpin perhaps holds the key to solving both murders. With the help of handsome Detective Valentine, Windsong the psychic cat, and the socialite ghost Charlotte Meadows who refuses to leave this earthly dimension, Cookie must solve the murders before she becomes the next fashion victim.
“An appealing protagonist who is as sweet as a Southern accent.”—Library Journal
“[A] chic and quirky heroine.”—Jennie Bentley, author of the Do-It-Yourself Mysteries

Please no more Virtual Voice Narrators
The story is cute and enjoyable but the virtual narrator ruins it. Its so monotone and it mispronounced words. If this is the future of audiobooks, I'll go back to reading hard copy.

Story is great: Virtual Voice is not
The book is really excellent. I usually enjoy listening to audible in my car. This was tough. It nearly put me to sleep it was so monotone. I wasn't impressed.

Was this written by ai too?
This book was narrated by ai and the narration is terrible. In addition, this book flat out ignores and changes things from the previous books- the cat is now referred to as male despite being referred to as female in previous books. Previous books said that grandma pearl was more dominant than wind song and this book says the contrary. In the last book Heather had psychic powers and in this one she doesn’t….the internal monologue goes on too long between dialogue. It’s just bad.
