About this listen
NASA, Pixar Animation Studios, and BMW all use the Process Communication Model as a way of training leaders to connect effortlessly with anyone. This book simplifies the complex model to make it easy for anyone to use.
Today, more than ever, leaders need a new style of leadership. They are realizing that true transformation happens through meaningful relationships, and discovering that the key to sustainable connections that create possibility and potential is through communication.
In Seeing People Through, we take a deep dive into The Process Communication Model® (PCM), a behavioral communication model that teaches people how to assess, connect, motivate, and resolve conflict by understanding the personality types that make up a person’s whole self, which is the key to leveraging personality diversity.
PCM is more than a lens for understanding how people see things differently; it’s a deep journey into self-awareness and self-transformation. In this book, new emerging leaders, senior leaders, and seasoned consultants alike will develop a fresh and relevant framework on leadership that is consistent with emerging trends, and they will learn how individual and collective concerns can be reconciled in leadership.
NASA, Pixar Animation Studios, and BMW are just some of the companies who have all used PCM as a way to build better relationships through authenticity, trust, agility, and positive influence — and now you can, too!

Story
Finite games, like football or chess, have known players, fixed rules, and a clear endpoint. The winners and losers are easily identified. Infinite games, games with no finish line, like business or politics, or life itself, have players who come and go. The rules of an infinite game are changeable, while infinite games have no defined endpoint. There are no winners or losers - only ahead and behind. The question is, how do we play to succeed in the game we’re in? In this revelatory new audiobook, Simon Sinek offers a framework for leading with an infinite mindset.

Connecting with the world around you meaningfully
Note: This is my review from the Amazon book:
Much of what plagues companies and businesses revolves around people issues and concerns. You know what I mean. Either fellow employees not getting along, managers who micromanage, bosses who belittle, or stressful interactions with all the previous. This books explores, details, and explains one the best tools of adaptive communication available today. Don't get me wrong - other communication tools exist today, but the golden tool within the pages of this book WILL BE what you will use EVERY DAY.
In all openness and full disclosure, I have been personally trained by Dr. Nate Regier as a certified trainer in PCM (Process Communication Model) of which this book discusses. I did receive a 'gallery proof' of this book, but also purchased the Kindle version as well as the Audible book when they became available. I will also purchase a hard copy. Why? Because PCM works and this book rocks! I own several books about PCM and I enjoy this one the best. Here are my reasons:
1) Introduction - to the point and conversational
Nate explores What is PCM and how it is different, adding the issue of personality profiles today and why PCM helps you "become a better steward of how you're built". Wisely, he also includes "Who will benefit form this book?" subsection. Be sure to CLICK the "Look Inside" feature on the book picture. As of the writing of this review, the introduction and part of the first chapter are available. Good stuff!
2) Story Format - engaging walkthrough of the life of someone learning and applying PCM
If you enjoy story for learning, you will engage with this book. Similar in style to Patrick Lencioni and Ken Blanchard, you will find the story elements provide great interactive examples of PCM in action while learning about PCM.
3) Realitstic Examples - not just made up examples, but real life application
The examples provided in the book are realistic tellings of what really happens in distress situations and motivation factors. While the story is fiction, the examples are real life day to day interactions that people have. You are not getting some pie-in-the sky what if scenarios that are make believe.
4) Practical Application - walk away with insight for life application
Through the story, you will engage in interactions of the characters and find very, very similar situations that you have experienced in your own life as well as potential positive interactions for the future. You will begin to see people for who they ARE beyond their distress patterns. You will begin to connect with others around you in ways that will make you a better leader as you see people through.
Yes, I am biased, because I have used this model over the past 5 years and I know that it works. What Dr. Regier has done with this book is to encapsulate the best communication model into an engaging framework to easily learn and grasp.

Very insightful!
This is a fantastic example of PCM in action. Very good examples of each personality that are relatable to our own lives and relationships.
I took off a star because there are no supplements (charts in physical book) available at the web address given which would have really added to the material. I reached out to the author and he responded very quickly and offered a user guide which adds to the reading. I purchased the physical book also. I plan to take the assessment.

A parable of sorts
I've recently become aware of Process Communication Model and have absorbed a lot of research on it in a short time. This book can be a great intro to PCM for many. For me, it's a great way to see the research I've come across play out in a story.
I think if you're starting here, you will likely need more information. The pdf at the site is quite helpful. Be sure to spell it correctly. I saw where some had trouble and I did my first time then I realized I misspelled something. It worked for me.
The narrator does a great job.
