When Isaac Vainio helped to reveal magic to the world, he dreamed of a utopian future, a new millennium of magical prosperity. One year later, things aren't going quite as he'd hoped. An organization known as Vanguard, made up of magical creatures and ex-Porters, wants open war with the mundane world. Isaac's own government is incarcerating "potential supernatural enemies" in prisons and internment camps. And Isaac finds himself targeted by all sides.
It's a war that will soon envelop the world, and the key to victory may lie with Isaac himself, as he struggles to incorporate everything he's learned into a new, more powerful form of libriomancy. Surrounded by betrayal and political intrigue, Isaac and a ragtag group of allies must evade pursuit both magical and mundane, expose a conspiracy by some of the most powerful people in the world, and find a path to a better future. But what will that future cost Isaac and the ones he loves?

Many reviewers of this series are upset about the narrator's voice, especially his voicing of Lena. I disagree. I feel that his speaking voice fits very well with Isaac's über-nerd character. I also don't mind Lena's very nasal voice. I can always tell it's her talking, and the voice sounds female. I also think it helps to identify them as a couple to have Lena's voice be an exaggeration of Isaac's.
My personal pet peeve with narrators is terrible accents, Ave this narrator's accents are quite good. I'm a fan!!
A thrilling series finale

Would you consider the audio edition of Revisionary to be better than the print version?
Yes, the narrator brings Isaac to life and helped me connect to him as a main character much better. What did you like best about this story?
These characters and this world are fantastic and it was a lot of fun to see the final leg of Isaac's journey. What about David DeVries’s performance did you like?
He does a great job with most of the female voices while giving everyone a unique voice so I could tell all the characters apart.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Hines' writing definitely makes me laugh and cry at times. The snarky quips are great!Any additional comments?
I didn't like how DeVries did Lena's voice, she sounded rather overdone and weird, but otherwise the narration was great.Fantastic conclusion to the series
