About this listen
Hugo Serrano is a veteran sergeant on the Santa Fe, New Mexico Police Department. He’s called to the home of a well-to-do couple in one of the city’s most upscale neighborhoods. There, he discovers a Los Alamos National Laboratory theoretical physicist has been murdered, his office ransacked and looted. The house is crowded with tight-lipped investigators from the SFPD, FBI, DHS and Los Alamos labs. The FBI agent-in-charge invokes national security in taking total control and swearing SFPD personnel to absolute secrecy. Josephina, the devastated wife, has no idea as to motive, other than her husband had been privately working on a “hobby” that he had refused to discuss with her. Ignoring the FBI’s warnings, Hugo decides to interview Josephina after everyone else leaves. What he discovers is that her husband was working on a technology that all-powerful forces around the world would do anything to steal or destroy. Hugo and Josephina quickly realize that they are also in the crosshairs and must flee for their lives.
