Haven't read much in this topic and was looking for an easy-to-understand overview. This was perfect. Written in a very accessible style, based on sound research, and struck a nice balance between being practical and honest, but not ruthless. Highly recommend as an introduction to the topic.

Excellent overview of the topic of power.

Definitely my favorite book among the first hundred I’ve read. It’s practical, assertive, realistic, and optimistic about the importance of internal politics within companies. As an employee, understanding this is essential to staying and growing.

Life is not fair, specially when it comes to power. Some have it and some don’t. Ironically, there’s no way to measure it but if you believe and act that you have it then others also start believing it. And THEN you have it. This is a practical book about it for simpletons like us.
