But those stories have always been locked away - until now. Who are our ancestors? Where did they come from? Geneticists have suddenly become historians, and the hard evidence in our DNA has completely upended what we thought we knew about ourselves. The Dalai Lama, at his most compassionate and outspoken, here elaborates and deepens his vision for the nonreligious way. Transcending the mere "religion wars", he outlines a system of secular ethics that gives tolerant respect to religion, those that ground ethics in a belief in God and an afterlife, and those that understand good actions as leading to better states of existence in future lives. And yet, with the highest level of spiritual and intellectual authority, the Dalai Lama makes a claim for what he calls a third way.

Philosophy Explained
I have always been intrigued by the great Philosophers of history. It is such an interesting and important topic that continues to be discussed over time. Although most lessons on philosophy tend to be confusing at times, This book explains it all in a simplified way. The author did a fantastic job detailing in an easy-to-understand way the beliefs and theories of the great philosophers.
What I enjoyed the most was learning about the personal lives and humanizing the figures discussed. It shines a light on who they really were and helps give a better understanding as to why they thought the way they did, Overall, I found this one of the most interesting books I have ever listened to. I recommend this book to everyone!

comprehensive introduction to 10 iconic thinkers
"Philosophy Simplified" is a comprehensive audiobook that provides an overview of the major philosophical schools of thought and key concepts. The author, A.J. Batac, presents the information in a clear and concise manner that is easy to follow, making it accessible to both beginners and those who are more familiar with philosophy.
The audiobook covers a broad range of topics, from ethics and metaphysics to epistemology and logic. It also includes historical context and examples of how these concepts have been applied in real-world scenarios.
One potential criticism of the audiobook is that it may be too simplified for those who are looking for a more in-depth analysis of specific philosophical concepts. However, this may be a strength for those who are new to philosophy or who want a broad overview of the subject.
Overall, "Philosophy Simplified" is a well-produced and informative audiobook that provides a solid introduction to the world of philosophy.

Enlightening and Engaging
This audiobook is an excellent resource for anyone who wants to gain a deeper understanding of philosophy but may not have the time to delve into the heavy tomes of traditional philosophy. The author gives fascinating overviews of various philosophers, their key teachings, and their contributions to the development of philosophy. I found this particularly helpful as it gave me a broader understanding of how different philosophers' ideas influenced each other and shaped the subject as a whole.
Moreover, the narrator does an outstanding job of bringing the book to life, and his voice is pleasant to listen to, making it easy to stay engaged with the material. He has a clear and concise delivery, and his pacing is perfect, allowing the listener enough time to absorb the information without feeling overwhelmed.

The authors' use of clear language and real-world examples to illustrate complex ideas makes the subject more relatable and digestible, making it a valuable resource for both beginners and seasoned philosophers.
In summary, I highly recommend this audiobook to anyone interested in philosophy. The author's well-researched insights, interesting overviews of various philosophers, and the narrator's excellent narration make it a must-listen for anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of this fascinating subject.

This audiobook really makes you think outside the box.
Many parts I thought I knew, but this really gave me a different look at them.
I never knew how much I'd appreciate someone simplifying ideas for me, making it make perfect sense.
It's allowed me to learn so much in such little time.
I found myself pausing it often to ponder on what was just said.
An extremely good book would highly recommend it!
