About this listen
Persephone was drawn to the Lord of the Underworld from the moment they’d met in the garden on Olympus. Frustrated and confused about her fate, Persephone fought the seductive lure of the darkness growing within her. Provided she survived the Olympic trials, and the manipulations of Hera, Persephone must find her own place in the Pantheon regardless of her feelings for Hades.
Their destinies now intertwined, Persephone has a choice to make. Either choose to give in to her desires for the Dark God whose touch she craves, heralding the end of the world as they knew it, or resist and instead return with her mother to the meadow for eternity, denying the darkness that calls to her.
Persephone & Hades genre is Adult Greek Mythology Romance.
NOW ANNOUNCING BOOK 2 in the works! Updates to book 2 release will be made September 1st 2022.

From now on, you’re mine, and I will always protect you... The moment he’d sensed Persephone’s energy in the world again, Hades froze in place, his rage dissipating as he stared up at the sky he couldn't see. Hope. The seed, now bloomed, was sending a signal, causing his whole body to pulse with power. Hades dropped his accusing hand, pointed at the daemons before him, and stood from his throne when he felt her. Go to her, his body screamed, knowing there would be little time to succeed in his plan. Persephone could see no sky or sun, nor feel the cool breeze on her cheeks. Like a ...

I snuck into a masquerade ball and did something reckless with a man dressed as Hades. How was I supposed to know it wasn’t a costume? When I ran off, I thought that was the end of it. But he’s abducted me to a beautiful palace in hell. Hades claims we were once married. He wants me to help him win a civil war in hell and rule as his queen.

Story
Tuesday night in the library started out normal--alone with cheap beer and a murder mystery. Partying, librarian style. Until the god Hades appears. When he abducts me, I try to say he's got the wrong girl--I'm no goddess. At least, I don't think so. Suddenly, I'm in his world, captive. The upside? I live in a castle with a lethally beautiful god who wants to make me a queen. The downside? He's scary AF and also wants me to help him destroy the world.

To most, Kal Anderson is a villain. Harbinger of death, keeper of souls, frequenter of nightmares. Doctor Death. Hades incarnate. They say he stole me. Paint your toes. Pick up the wrong coffee and bagel order. Drive from Brooklyn to Jersey in traffic so slow you want to tear your hair out. It’s amazing all the useless things I can accomplish while on hold for three hours with customer service. Three hours when I should be getting the Date-in-a-Box website ready to launch at the big business expo in a few days. Except my shiny new website is glitching, and my inner rage-monster is ready to scorch some earth...when he finally picks up. Not the robot voice I expected but a real live human named Kal.

I’ve got a list of people I absolutely don’t ever want to be stuck with on a boat, or a plane, or a train, and it starts and ends with the broody, grumpy, too-sexy-for-my-own good Axel Huxley. Also known as this romance novelist’s number one nemesis. The man is legendary for his mighty pen and his even mightier scowl. I tried to work together with the cocky thriller writer once upon a time, but the two of us are like vodka and good decisions. We don’t play well together.

Love the twist retelling of Hades and Persephone
It was good, it felt a bit rushed it definitely leaves you hanging in the end. I know there is a second part but it could have been longer. I really enjoyed it. Not too fond of the AI Narrator but it was still enjoyable. I would definitely enjoy a part 3 and 4.

This should be a movie! Oh my gods!
It’s so full of action, lore, fighting, want, desire.. it has it all. It took me by storm., made me laugh, giggle, every emotion. That’s why it should be a movie. With great actors this would be AWESOME! Having ai reading was not so great but I was still inclined to listen all the way through. Love it. Hopping on to book two….

Great Story
Great Story, but the AI lacks inflection and pronunciation. it makes the emotional parts of the book fall very flat. if you can read it yourself, I'd suggest that. otherwise, Great story.

Amazing story that is a perfect paranormal romance
The story is amazing, well written, with deep characters and a nice combination of ancient history and modern concepts. The virtual voice made this story accessible to me (I have dyslexia). The virtual voice has a hard time saying "Hecate," but I have certainly heard worse narration for a lot more money. Can't wait to listen to the second book! well worth the credit for the listen.
