Book 3 - Peete & Repeat good, clean read
Frannie's husband Larry, a retired policeman, tries to keep her out of trouble, but her curiosity once again gets her in deep! The author has done a great job in creating a great cast of likeable characters and the story is engaging and humorous. Part of the fun of reading a cozy mystery is trying to figure out the whodunit before the author reveals it.
The narrator is perfect for this series and her performance added a lot to my enjoyment of this book

Very entertaining!
This was the second Frannie Shoemaker Campground Mystery I've read (or listened to) and I have to say that they really draw me in and keep me going back for more. The whole idea of Frannie and her husband Larry going camping with friends repeatedly seems like a blast to me. The characters are all quite arresting individually, from the prankster to the woman that wants to plan everything for everyone. Frannie always ends up finding a body and she always ends up getting herself in a pickle in the end as she figures out "who-dun-it".
These books are just a joy to listen to. They have mystery and lots of comedy! Michelle Babb does an excellent job once again with the voicing of the characters and the pacing of the narration.

this is my favorite one so far!!
I really loved this one. it is definitely worth a listen. It was mystery enough that I would second guess myself on who did it, although I was right from the beginning, I really enjoyed this story and that the Sheriff in this one actually seemed to have a head on their shoulders instead of kinda "ditzy" like in a lot of these books/stories. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a light mystery

love this campground series!
I hope to be like Frannie when I grow up! Retired and still active, Frannie, hubs and friends are spending some time at another campground when they get entangled in the murder or identical twin sisters. Another engaging cozy mystery in an equally engaging series. Narrator does a fab job with all of the characters!

An enjoyable, light mystery
Frannie Shoemaker and her friends are off on another campground adventure, and this one features a pair of adult identical twins, who still dress identically and even move in unison much of the time.
The conflict between them is not apparent until an old flame of one of the women walks into the pie shop where Frannie and friends have been noticing the twins eating with movements uncannily like synchronized swimmers. One woman is sad, the other is angry, and the man is very, very confused.
The friends are puzzled, but it's not their business, and there's no reason for them to go prying. The rumors of a meth lab in the area, and the rundown camper on a property adjoining the campground that looks like a candidate for the rumored meth lab, are much more concerning.
At least, that's the case until the twins turn up dead, clearly murdered.
Of course, the friends, especially Frannie and, though he doesn't want to admit it, her husband, retired cop Larry, can't just sit back and leave the entire investigation to the local police. Especially not since Frannie and Donna were the ones who discovered the bodies.
This is a story about mature characters with their quirks and foibles, characters who, three books into the series, are learning more about themselves and each other. They're smart, but smart doesn't always mean sensible, and they do make mistakes. I like that Frannie in particular, our main viewpoint character, is learning from experience over the course of the books without changing who she is as a person. It's an enjoyable, fairly light, clean mystery, where most of the characters are decent people with good intentions even when they get things wrong.
As always, Michelle Babb's narration is excellent.
Recommended.

Remember the Doublemint Twins?
These people make camping sound like a lot more fun than I ever had when camping, but then again we only had tents. The characters are engaging & I enjoyed the senior sleuths and their antics. I'm looking forward to the next book.
