About this listen

A hilarious and action-packed adventure from the acclaimed author of Interview with the Robot.

Mark and Levi’s podcast takes a turn when a spaceship crashes in the backyard, and along with Levi’s older sister Brooke, they make contact with an extraterrestrial—a furry, purple creature they name Sky who was separated from the rest of her crew during an intergalactic mission. If she doesn’t make contact with them soon, she’ll never see her home again.

Unfortunately, the kids aren’t the only ones who know about the alien’s arrival on Earth. A group of mysterious adults in black suits have begun following them. They’ve kidnapped Brooke’s boyfriend, Gavin, with Sky as ransom.

But Mark isn’t about to let any of this derail the podcast. He keeps recording everything: the drone-chase through the yards of their suburban town, the tense hideout inside a mall, the perilous standoff with an enormous spaceship. It’s all vividly depicted in this fun, fast-paced adventure that’ll keep listeners glued to their speakers and headphones.

Available in Dolby Atmos on Audible.

Super cheesy but really cute

Definitely not a deep thinking thought provoking story but that’s why I liked it. Cute & endearing. Something fun that probably any age reader would enjoy from kids to a 44 year old like me.

BFFs, an Alien, and a Billionaire Bad Guy

This was such a fun listen! Lifelong BFFs, Mark and Levi start a zombie podcast the summer before they split for the first time to attend different Jr. High Schools. But when an alien crash lands in Levi's backyard, the focus of the podcast shifts to getting the alien home. Within this fast-paced adventure story, the relationships between the core group of kids (BFFS, siblings, and a seemingly mismatched high school couple) become stronger than ever. The sound design and pacing kept the action moving, while heartfelt moments gave depth and unexpected heart to this race against the clock story,

It could be a Netflix series.

It was very descriptive, I was able to imagine everything they described like I was there myself. I loved it

Juvenile at best. Does not live up to interview with a robot.

The entire plot is just cringe. I'm embarrassed for the people who had to do that acting.
