About this listen
He was perfect. Denim blue eyes, a dazzling smile. And he hadn’t sent me a picture of his junk. Which is about as rare, these days, as a dodo.
When Sloane met Myles, everything fell into place. He loved a martini almost as much as she did, shared her passion for four-cheese pizzas, and made her laugh harder than any episode of Friends. She’d found 'The One' at last, and she could finally delete Tinder, forgetting all those waste-of-space men she’d never have to date again.
But then she finds out that Myles has a secret. A very big one.
The fairy tale is over. Her heart is blown to smithereens. Drowning her sorrows in Ben & Jerry’s can only get Sloane so far before she has to decide.... Can she learn to love herself more than she loved the love of her life? And what if, after everything, she’s got Myles - and his secret - all wrong?

It's been 10 days, two hours and 43 minutes since Tansy got dumped. Two heartbreaking weeks since Renzo, who made her weak at the knees and dizzy with excitement, found out Tansy’s secret - and ended it on the spot. Since then, she’s spent every evening scrolling through their old photos, drunk texted him 26 times (he stopped reading after five), and lost count of how many packets of Kleenex she’s cried her way through. But while she’s busy pretending, Tansy’s plan is thrown a major curveball.

Slow start
I considered putting this down as a DNF, but I continued. The story started out slow, and while it eventually picked up, the narration would sound solemn in parts I didn’t think matched the tone. There is a lot of flashback history, I suppose to help us understand the FMC need to cling to her husband. While others may not agree with trying to save her marriage, I think the lies we tell ourselves, blame we put on ourselves when relationships crumble is typical, and I thought well delivered.
Not a romcom.
Not a second chance.
Not spicy.

The verbosity and lack of a point
This book could have easily been cut in half it was tremendously long and for no good reason. The book itself wasn’t written very well and that, coupled with the narrator made me shout with joy at the word: The End.

Very Good Read
I liked how it explored all the feelings you go through when you are in a relationship that is ending because of infidelity. I was inspired by the strong female characters who didn’t just cry all the time but took control of their lives.

Cute Story
Story - 4 stars as there were parts of the book that made me laugh and/or smile but I didn't feel the urge to sit in my car just so I can hear what happened next.
Narrations - 5 stars as the tone and delivery was spot on.
Overall - 5 stars because even though I didn't feel an urge to sit in my car to listen to the story, it was a well put-together story.
