About this listen
A dark, watery underworld where death is always near.
Jason and Penny Beringer lead a small cave diving team in a daring bid to become the first explorers of a newly discovered system of underwater caverns hidden deep in the Philippine jungle. But within this maze of sunken chambers lives a genetically engineered predator, a creature capable of spreading havoc on both land and beneath the lightless, suffocating depths of this mysterious underworld.
Combining tense, white knuckled thrills and scientific horror, John Triptych’s newest release will surely interest fans of Michael Crichton, Peter Benchley, and Clive Cussler.

Like the "Dark Continent" of Africa, the dark island of Madagascar holds many chilling secrets. One of them is a long-thought extinct species of dinosaurs living at the country's core. A massive earthquake rocks the mountain range within the Andringitra National Park. The splitting Earth reveals a network of tunnels, hidden away for millennia. Decent story, but…
I enjoy a good “ creature feature” story and can forgive/overlook a lot… however the virtual narration just sucks! It ruins the story with unnatural cadence, mispronunciations and poor timing. I will actively AVOID all future audio books with AI narration… such a waste of money and a disservice to the author’s efforts.
