About this listen
In the year 2020 everyone else in the world was going crazy buying toilet paper and washing their hands madly to avoid the infamous corona virus, while Ryan James and his gaming mates were focused on winning the next major PlayStation competition at school. Nothing else was more important than winning, because Ryan is obsessed with video games. Luckily for him, he has a teacher who is obsessed with having video game competitions.
Ryan James just has to win the latest PlayStation competition at school because it gets him a golden ticket to an awesome release party of ‘Galactic Zombie,’ the hottest new PS game in town. The word is out that Galactic Zombie is actually enchanted, but the winners all know that magic is nonsense, especially in the gaming world. All you need to win is skill, strategy and loads of experience.
That is, until a few of the gamers get to level five where all the magic is supposed to happen, and things start to get really weird. Not everyone gets to level five, but something very strange happens to those who do. And they might never be the same kids again.
Will Ryan even win a golden ticket to get to go to the release party or will he have to stay home and look for Easter eggs with his sister, while his classmates get to find out the weird and scary truth behind the magic?

“I like the way this series actually takes an everyday kid playing video games and then turns it into a great adventure story.”
“This is the most amazing series I have ever read! I love how you put so much detail into it!”
“One of the best series read in a very long time – amazing!”
“My son is dyslexic and is not a fan of reading but his English teacher told him to try to read more at home. He's a fan of video games so I thought this one would be a good start and he really enjoyed it!”
"Lots of fun and great Christmas gift. Ideal read for those younger boys who need more challenging reading books."
I love the Game on Boys series. I love this book. It made me laugh out loud. I am glad that Kate Cullen added a girl character Elly, because girls love to play video games too."
