About this listen

Welcome to the challenge. You're an absolute nobody here—nothing, a zero, a useless lump of meat filled with bones. You're but a delicious morsel for your antagonists and those who got lucky at the start. The only goal you can have in your miserable existence is to kick the bucket as soon as possible.

Grab this when I needed something to listen to because it was an anthology. Was very impressed with the story, it drags sometimes but overall great listen.

Great set of books.

This is one of those surprising series that caught me unaware. I had not heard of this series and just decided to give it a try on speculation and am I happy I did! Fantastically original story telling

Fantastic series

I really liked this story! Nice, slow & steady character & world development. Hopefully the series will progress soon.

Can't wait for the next in the series!

Both the The vocabulary and the voice actor are just a bit awkward and the writing is a bit wordy, and the jokes fall flat. I keep picturing Napolean Dynamite as the main character with some of the way he describes things... but Napolean was funnier. It does have an interesting idea, but the execution didn't do it for me. Could use stronger editing.

voice actor repetitive phrasing and pauses

Wasn’t sure what I was getting into but I quickly was intrigued by the story and the world the author was creating. Unfortunately the writing is robotic and I’m well into book 2 and wondering if this was partially written with AI. That’s how robotic it is. I’m surprised the narrator was able to keep up with this because of how robotic the text is. All that to say I’m still very much enjoying the listen.

Edit: Found out that the author is Ukrainian and it makes more sense that this is translated material rather than AI generated. Probably AI translated.

Great Listen, Intriguing Idea, Worth it.

I really like the story I will say that it starts off very slow for a good bit of the first look but other than that is an interesting story and I like the ideal of how they implement the leveling up and the Strategic usage of abilities skills and weapons at critical points

the leveling system and the Strategic of implementing your leveling and skills and usage of weapons

The author uses way too many of the same lines and it makes the listening experience monotonous and a bit cringy, there is also an overabundance of repetitions in terms of system articles also, otherwise it is a neat and unique book set once you tune out the reader trying and failing to needlessly pack a powder keg of suspense into every single word.

neat story, too much repitition

I’ve been plumbing the depths of litrpg for a while and this was a lovely and excellent surprise.

Free? Give it a listen

Overall its a solid litRPG built as kind of a bit of a weird abduction style hunger games but with slightly less emphasis on being last standing. Its got a ramping up of difficulty to survive with incentive to kill your fellow man to increase your own chance of survival.

Overall I really like it. I am hooked and bought the rest of the series after finishing the first three. I think that at times combat can be a little confusing and quick but still overall I really like this series.

I don't know that it has a ton of uniqueness or originality to it but it hits a combination of things I tend to like. I like the characters, system, and everything going on here. Solid litRPG for me.
