About this listen

The first three books of The Weirkey Chronicles are combined in this new edition, which includes two never-before-released short stories, new appendices, and complete soulhome diagrams.

Betrayed. Murdered. Reborn. One last chance, to make it right. Theo's adventure ended with his mentor's hands around his neck. The betrayal cost him his friends, allies, and everything he had built...but not his life. Though broken and powerless, Theo has one last chance to enter the Nine Worlds, wielding the knowledge and expertise of his first life. This time, he needs more than just power, he needs to unravel the deception that killed him once...and is coming for him again.

This edition includes:

  • The complete books Soulhome, Rainhorn, and Archcrafter.
  • Two new short stories: One Day at the Gate Between Worlds and Lessons of a Gate Merchant.

Started great, but I just don't like the protagonist, cynical.

I wanted to like this series, and I liked one and three better than two. I like the system, but it doesn't really seem a central thing, which is going to sound weird because they spend quite a bit of time talking about it, and working on it. maybe it's how much progress the protagonist makes or doesn't make? All in all, I think it comes back to my dislike for the protagonist so maybe that's just it.

dynamic well-rounded protagonist!

I highly recommend this series, especially if you are a fan of the Cradle series. Just replace the word sacred artist with spirit crafter, and boom! You are right back in the Cradle series although I will admit Soul Homes are way cooler than Spirit Cores. The Weirkey Sears is tons of fun, Taking place over a bunch of different worlds. One of the many highlights of the series for me was the character growth. Without giving away any spoilers, the main character starts out selfish with a pretty weak moral compass, but as he grows, he becomes a hero and loyal friend. I am a stickler for dynamic well-rounded protagonists. This series has really done a great job!

Decently Good

Could it have been better? Yes. Was it still quite enjoyable? Yes. Worth reading. Especially since it’s three in one.

Flat Story with a weak plot

I'm a couple hours into book 2 and very little substance has been put into the story thus far. There are no explanations of how/why things work and there are rarely any details given to explain anything.

Getting good

the first and second book were a little slow. the third book steadily got better as I got further into the story.

As always, Travis Baldree did an incredible job.
