About this listen

Contemplating the end times as they are presented in the Bible can be daunting. Christians who accept the Bible as God's word vacillate somewhere between two extremes, either ignoring completely what is written or spending an inordinate amount of time and energy looking for signs that the prophecies are nearing fulfillment. Naturally, there is Biblical support for both points of view. For those who ignore the coming judgment, Jesus' command not to worry in Matthew 6:24-34 provides the scriptural basis for their reaction. For those spending an inordinate amount of time looking for signs, Jesus' command to be watchful in Matthew 24:37-44 validates their approach. This brief interpretation of what is to come, based on scriptures found in the Gospels and in the books of Daniel and Revelation, falls somewhere between the two extremes. We must preface these writings with a simple disclosure: There is no human who knows the exact time that the world will end. Further, there is no human who knows exactly how the world will end in a general sense, for experiencing the end of the world will be both a deeply personal experience as well as a universally polarizing event which will determine the eternal fate of people and communities. Generalizations about the end times, including the one you are about to read, should be used for entertainment purposes only. Any action should be taken only after consulting the scriptures on your own and consulting with the Living God, who will gently guide all who ask Him for guidance. That said, our limited studies of eschatology and monetary theory have led us to some inescapable conclusions that we are compelled to share with you. For those of you unfamiliar with the term, eschatology, is the study of the ultimate destiny of humanity, more commonly spoken of as the "end times." In order to better understand our studies, you must know that we accept as fact that the earth was created some 5,772 years ago as of this writing, in agreement with the Jewish calendar, as well as the fact that Jesus Christ, who was crucified, dead, and raised from the dead some 2000 years ago, is the Messiah and that He will return to reign on the earth at an unknown and unknowable future date. Consequently, we accept the Bible as both an accurate historical narrative and a reliable guide as to what is to come. It is our prayer that you will find both comfort and a call to action in our interpretation of what is to come. With the proper preparations, all of the peoples of the world may eagerly await the coming of their Lord without fear and full of hope and joy.
