About this listen
The journey resumes in Discovering Isaac, picking up where you left off, not missing a blink for Jake, Amy, Isaac, and your other friends. So, jump in — the continuing adventure awaits — and word is, it’s even better than the first.
Like Remembering Isaac, this story takes place within a sketchbook. Where the first book was Jake’s, this one is Isaac’s. It will open your mind and heart to forgotten truths discovered by a simple potter who was shaped by life and loss and love.
If you’re looking for a happy ending, Discovering Isaac will not disappoint you, but you may be surprised by the tangled web wrapped up in this audiobook. It will make you laugh, and it will make you cry, but like the book before it, it will leave you wanting to become a better you.
Cheers to your journey!

Story
In a town with a name like Niederbipp, you might expect the townsfolk to be a little quirky. And you’d be right. But for Jake Kimball, if the timing and circumstances were different, this would be a dream come true. As it is, he’s afraid he agreed too hastily to spend the summer working his way through the mess Isaac Bingham, the old potter - God rest his soul - left behind.

It’s been said that big doors swing on small hinges. For Genevieve Patterson, after her door was lifted off its hinges and carried away to the Pennsylvania hinterlands, everything she thought was important or believed she wanted was challenged. Ruby’s offer, her growing love for Matt, and the keys of joy each have left her feeling that she’s finally found the right place to hang her door. But the question remains: how?

In this stirring audiobook, David McCullough tells the intensely human story of those who marched with General George Washington in the year of the Declaration of Independence, when the whole American cause was riding on their success, without which all hope for independence would have been dashed and the noble ideals of the Declaration would have amounted to little more than words on paper.

At the height of the Holocaust, 25 young inmates of the infamous Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp - mainly Jewish women and girls - were selected to design, cut, and sew beautiful fashions for elite Nazi women in a dedicated salon. It was work that they hoped would spare them from the gas chambers. This fashion workshop - called the Upper Tailoring Studio - was established by Hedwig Höss, the camp commandant’s wife, and patronized by the wives of SS guards and officers.

Best book set ever!!!
If you’re looking for self improvement through examples with a story line…. This is a set for you!!! I love the characters!!! This book makes me want to be a better me!!! It shows by way of examples how to become a better me. The set is by far one of the best investments for me that I have purchased in the last 70 years of my life… the characters and story line are the best example of pure love, joy, and gratitude that I have ever been given. I can’t thank the the author enough for giving me a better perspective of life. I hope these perspectives keep on continuing… I only wish I could give a 10 star rating because this set is amazing!!! I hold this book set as a treasure in my library and it will be read multiple times in order for me to remember the values of what a follower of God should be!!!!!!!
